The invention relates to aqueous, high active, self-preserving composition of mild surfactants which are used to create transparent liquid formulations with pH similar to skin's pH. More specifically, the composition comprise of sodium/potassium acyl isethionate of Formula I and mono potassium acyl glutamate of Formula II with solids content of at least 45% w/w, for personal care formulation that are ultra-mild, with skin pH and transparent.
Water-in-oil microemulsions containing triglyceride oil for personal care applications are described. The W/O type of microemulsions based on triglyceride oils such as soya oil and sunflower oil are suitable for skin cleansing shower oils. The microemulsions of the patent application allow the use of several mild surfactants, thereby obviating the use of aliphatic amine based anionic surfactants for personal cleansing. The microemulsion based on coconut oil serves like a ‘two-in-one’ formulation for pre-wash hair conditioning like a typical hair-oil and subsequently like a shampoo for cleansing the hair.
Disclosed is an aqueous cleansing composition comprising N-acyl glycinates as primary surfactants wherein the said cleansing compositions are isotropic and flowable at skin pH. The aqueous cleansing compositions are isotropic and flowable at temperature 25 C. Also disclosed is the use of these aqueous cleansing compositions in preparing isotropic aqueous personal skin and hair cleansing formulations such as body wash, shower gels, shampoos, and other such products.
