Abstract:
An apparatus for dispensing carbonated beverages includes a housing, an ice bin, a carbonator and a cold plate. The ice bin is disposed within the housing for storing ice and is surrounded by thermal insulation. The carbonator is disposed within the housing adjacent the ice bin and receives water and CO gas to form carbonated water. The thermal insulation is disposed between the carbonator and the ice bin such that the ice bin is thermally isolated from the carbonator. The cold plate is chilled by the ice in the ice bin and includes pre-chilling coils for cooling the water to be supplied to the carbonator and post-chilling coils for cooling the carbonated water flowing from the carbonator.

Abstract:
A multi-flavor valve for dispensing at least three flavors of beverages includes a single-piece injection-molded valve body having at least three syrup flow paths, a water flow path, and one water flow path solenoid for opening and closing the water flow path. Three syrup flow path solenoids are positioned in the corresponding syrup flow paths. The water flow path solenoid is positioned in the water flow path, within the valve body. The valve has beverage flavor switches for selecting the beverage flavors for dispensation. The valve includes an electronics module electrically connected to the solenoids and to the beverage flavor switches, the electronics module causing one of the syrup flow path solenoids to open the corresponding syrup flow path of the syrup corresponding to a selected flavor switch, and causing the water flow path solenoid to open the water flow path, causing the valve to dispense the selected beverage flavor.

Abstract:
A beverage dispensing system includes a beverage dispenser which forms and dispenses a beverage and a processor for monitoring the beverage dispenser. The beverage dispenser operates under various parameters including a first parameter that is indicative of the quality of the beverage to be dispensed and a second parameter that is indicative as to when routine maintenance is to be scheduled. The processor monitors the various parameters under which the beverage dispenser operates and determines whether the first parameter is outside of a predetermined range. If the first parameter is outside the predetermined range, the processor sends a signal regarding a request for immediate repair service. The second parameter is also monitored and the routine maintenance is scheduled based thereon.

Abstract:
A multi-flavor valve capable of dispensing at least three flavors of beverages is provided. The valve includes a single-piece injection-molded valve body having at least three syrup flow paths and a water flow path. The valve also includes at least three syrup flow path solenoids for respectively opening and closing the at least three syrup flow paths, and one water flow path solenoid for opening and closing the water flow path. The three syrup flow path solenoids are positioned in the corresponding syrup flow paths, and the water flow path solenoid is positioned in the water flow path, within the valve body. The valve also has at least three beverage flavor switches for selecting any one of the three beverage flavors for dispensation. The valve further includes an electronics module electrically connected to the solenoids and to the beverage flavor switches, the electronics module causing one of the syrup flow path solenoids to open the corresponding syrup flow path of the syrup corresponding to a selected flavor switch, and causing the water flow path solenoid to open the water flow path, thereby causing the multi-flavor valve to dispense the selected beverage flavor.

Remote Data Monitoring For Compliant Use Of A Medical Treatment Device
A method implemented on a computer for tracking treatment devices and providing medical remote data monitoring. Receive electronic notification of a surgery, including a surgery date and recovery location. Find a smart treatment device that is available for a recovery period scheduled for after the surgery date. Associate a unique id to the surgery. Receive a notification of the recovery location has the smart treatment device, where the smart treatment device has computer memory and stored in the computer memory is the unique id. The smart treatment device records recovery data in the computer memory. The smart treatment device has a wireless communication channel and the smart treatment device sends the recovery data and the unique id over the wireless communication channel. Receive from the communication channel the recovery data and unique id. Make available the recovery data for the surgery that may be used for medical remote data monitoring.
Medical Remote Data Monitoring And Feedback For Improved Outcomes
A computer method to improve medical outcomes that receives at a backend server notification of surgery including a recovery location. Creating a plan to deliver a smart treatment device with a unique identifier to the recovery location. Associate the unique identifier to the surgery. Receiving information that the smart treatment device is at the recovery location. The smart treatment device gathers recovery data. Sending the recovery data with the unique identifier to the backend server. Receiving at the backend server the recovery data. Receiving a request for access to the recovery data for the surgery. Providing access to the recovery data. Receiving and implementing adjustments to a treatment plan. Receiving final medical outcome information. Recording the surgery, recovery data and final medical outcome in a historical database. Training a machine learning algorithm on the historical data. Using the machine learning algorithm to suggest adjustments the treatment plan.
Medical Treatment Device Smart Controller For Wireless Control And Remote Data Monitoring
A medical treatment device smart controller that includes a physical electrical connector for connecting to a medical treatment device with a treatment modality that can be changed when a signal is provided to the physical electrical connector. The medical treatment device smart controller also includes a processor coupled to a wireless communication channel and the physical electrical connector and configured to process the change input and send the signal on the physical electrical connection to change the treatment modality of the medical treatment device. The controller also includes memory coupled to the processor, where the processor is configured to write recovery data into the memory, and the recovery data includes the change to the treatment modality of the medical treatment device. The processor is further configured to periodically send the recovery data over the communication channel.
