Keselowski overtook Kevin Harvick with 21 laps to go in Saturdays F.W. Webb 200 when Harvicks No. 33 ran into lapped traffic, specifically the No. 24 driven by Amber Cope, the 28-year-old niece of Derrick Cope, who won the 1990 Daytona 500.
In dominating fashion, Dale Earnhardt was looking to add his first Daytona 500 win to his long list of other Daytona wins. It was a cut down tire that took him out that day leaving a Daytona 500 win just out of grasp. Purolator returned to victory lane as a sponsor that day when little known Derrick Cope brought his #10 Chevy across the line to be the upset winner.
