Abstract:

A process for performing non-destructive monitoring of a semiconductor device that permits detection of additional circuitry that is not part of the original, intended design. This permits verification that additional circuitry, for example malicious circuitry, has not been added to the semiconductor device. In one embodiment, the monitoring is performed at the die level before the die is packaged into a complete semiconductor device. The monitoring is non-destructive so that the semiconductor die is not destroyed during the monitoring process.

Abstract:

A system for projecting content onto a shaped screen and highlighting particular portions of the content. The system includes a projector configured for projecting content having a particular shape and a rear projection screen for receiving and displaying the projected content. The rear projection screen has a shape substantially conforming to the particular shape of the content. The system is configured to increase or maximize an illumination of the projected content in a particular portion of the rear projection screen compared with the projected content in other portions of the screen. The increased illumination can be used to highlight the projected content in the particular portion for digital merchandising or other uses.

Abstract:

A method of optimizing a plurality of control signals used in operating a vehicle is described. The operation has a plurality of associated measurable parameters. The method includes: for each control signal, selecting a plurality of potential optimum values from a predetermined set; operating the vehicle in at least a first sequence of operation iterations, where for each pair of sequential first and second operation iterations in the first sequence of operation iterations, the potential optimum value of one control signal in the first operation iteration is replaced in the second operation iteration with a next potential optimum value of the control signal, while the potential optimum values of the remaining control signals are maintained; for each operation iteration, measuring each parameter in the plurality of measurable parameters; and generating confidence intervals for the control signals to determine causal relationships between the control signals and the measurable parameters.
