Abstract:

A system for semiconductor wafer marking is provided. The system includes: (a) a first positioning subsystem for positioning a laser marking field relative to a wafer, the positioning along a first direction; (b) an alignment vision subsystem; (c) a laser marker including a laser for marking a location within the marking field with a laser marking beam; (d) a calibration program for calibrating at least one subsystem of the system; and (e) a controller. The marking field is substantially smaller than the wafer, and the laser marker includes a scan lens for optically maintaining a spot formed by the beam on the wafer within an acceptable range about the location within the marking field so as to avoid undesirable mark variations associated with wafer sag or other variations in depth within the field.

Abstract:

A method and apparatus for automated resistance welding of materials is provided. The material may be thermoplastic material. The material has a layer of a second material adjacent thereto. The second material is a dissimilar material which may be applied as a film or a coating on the first material, or the second material may be a separate layer placed adjacent the first material. A heating element is placed in the interface between overlapping portions of the two pieces of material to be welded together. The layers are directly adjacent to the heating element. The layers can be consolidated onto the heating element if desired. The heating element can be composed of carbon fibers in a polymer matrix. The heating element is supplied with current to generate resistive heating. The heating causes melting of the layers adjacent to and contacting the material.

Abstract:

A portable hydraulic injection unit having a housing containing a liquid reservoir and a plurality of vertical cylinders. A manifold is in fluid communication with the reservoir and individual inlet hoses connect the manifold with each cylinder. A check valve is located between the manifold and each cylinder to prevent back flow from the cylinders into the manifold. A piston is located within each cylinder and a piston rod is attached to each piston and extends upwardly out of the cylinder and is connected to an operating arm for raising and lowering the piston rods and pistons relative to the cylinders. An outlet is located at the lower end of each cylinder and an outlet hose is connected to the outlet to transmit liquid from each cylinder to an injector at the end of each outlet hose. A check valve is located between each cylinder and its outlet hose. A wheeled dolly supports the hydraulic injection unit.

Abstract:

Blockchain, or distributed ledger network technology, facilitates and accelerates foreign currency (FX) transactions and makes them reliable and trusted by prequalifying participants in the transactions to participate. Prequalifying participants enables funding of the transaction before parties enter into a trade, reducing the time required to consummate a transaction. In one aspect, the credit aspect of these transactions is disaggregated from the transactions themselves, eliminating credit risk and delivery risk, among others. Immutability of data in the blockchain enhances transaction reliability, and promotes confidence on both sides of a given transaction. In another aspect, fully collateralized fiat coins (FCFC) residing within the blockchain are based on an underlying fiat currency. Within the blockchain, the FCFC are their own currency.

Abstract:

An implant delivery system can be configured to deliver an inflatable implant into a bladder via a urethra. The delivery system can comprise an elongate tubular body, an inflation tube and an implant decoupler. The tubular body can comprise a central lumen configured to hold an inflatable implant in an initial un-inflated state for delivery of the implant into the bladder. A method of use can include passing a distal tip of the elongate tubular body into the bladder. The implant can be inflated and released into the bladder.
