Skills:
Expertise in membrane protein expression, purification and functional reconstitution into lipids. Six years of experience with neurotransmitter-gated ion channels (GABAA and serotonin receptors) leading to identification of receptor drug binding sites. Two years of industrial experience as a team leader of protein purification unit at Abpro; utilizing high throughput screening and scale-up production, purified hundreds of recombinant proteins, secreted, cytoplasmic, and membrane proteins for antibody production and sale. Technical expertise in protein expression in a variety of hosts, primarily insect cells and mammalian cell lines on plates and scale up to 10L using a Bioreactor. More than ten years of experience with classical chromatographic methods and protein chemistry techniques: FPLC and HPLC (AKTA purifier), SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting, and Capillary electrophoresis (Calliper). As a bioanalytical consultant for Millenium Research Laboratories developed and validated enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Design, analyze, and conduct experiments independently. Critical thinker, strong team player focusing on teams mutual success.
