Abstract:

A system, method and computer readable medium for synchronizing web content is disclosed. The method includes retrieving a first web content in a first language from a web site, the first web content corresponding to a second web content wherein the second web content is a translation in a second language of the first web content. The method further includes dividing the first web content into a plurality of translatable components and generating a unique identifier for each of the plurality of translatable components. The method further includes matching each of the plurality of translatable components to a plurality of translated components of the second web content using the unique identifier of each of the plurality of translatable components. If a translatable component is not matched to a translated component, the method further includes designating the translatable component for translation into the second language.

The content in the first language is obtained and divided into one or more translatable components. Whether the one or more translatable components have been previously translated, via at least one of machine translation, human translation, and a combination thereof, into the second language and stored as translated components in a storage is determined. If there are one or more translatable components previously translated and stored, the content is generated in the second language by modifying the content in the first language so that at least some translatable components are replaced with corresponding translated components and sent in the second language to the user as a response to the request.

Methods, systems, and computer readable medium for facilitating selection of a preferred language associated with a website. In one example, information including information relating to a user is first received via the communication platform. The received information is then automatically analyzed to estimate a preferred language in which the user likely uses to view content from the website. A selector is displayed with an available selection of a language that most closely matches the estimated preferred language to allow the user to specify the user's preferred language with respect to the website. The user's preferred language is stored, and the user is redirected to the website in the user's preferred language.

Abstract:

The present invention provides a non-human genetically immunodeficient mammal the peripheral blood of which contains a non-lethal percent of T-cells of human origin which is at least 20% as well as a non-human genetically immunodeficient mammal having a lethal percent of T-cells of human origin in the peripheral blood which is at least 60%. Also provided is a method of screening a substance for anti-HIV activity comprising obtaining a non-human genetically immunodeficient mammal having a lethal percent of human T-cells in the peripheral blood which is at least 60%; infecting the mammal with an amount of HIV sufficient to rescue the mammal from death from the effects of the lethal percent of human T-cells; administering the substance to the mammal; and determining if the substance kills the mammal by inhibiting the rescue of the mammal by HIV, the death of the mammal indicating a substance having anti-HIV activity.
