Abstract:

Described herein are methods of improving the durability of concrete by the infusion of the concrete with a low-viscosity oligomeric solution, and subsequent curing of the oligomeric solution to form a high toughness polymer. Also described herein are compositions containing concrete and high toughness polymers, and formed articles made from concrete and high toughness polymers. The methods and compositions are useful for improving the durability of concrete roads and structures, as well as the durability of repairs to concrete roads.

Abstract:

A metal matrix composite is produced by closely aligning together a sheet of hydrided or hydrogenated alloy with a filament preform at a relatively low temperature. The resulting metal matrix will have a minimum of excessive chemical reactions at the alloy-filament interface thereby allowing the composite to achieve theoretical mechanical property values.

Abstract:

A security platform may determine, during receipt of a file, metadata associated with the file. The file may be intended for a client device. The security platform may compute, based on the metadata and during the receipt of the file, a hash associated with the file. The security platform may identify, during the receipt of the file, a stored hash that matches the hash associated with the file. The security platform may determine a security classification of the file based on information associated with a security classification corresponding to the stored hash. The security classification of the file may be determined before the receipt of the file is complete. The security platform may selectively permit, based on the security classification of the file, the client device to complete a receipt of the file.
