Abstract:
Systems and methods for multi-platform motion interactivity, is provided. The system includes a motion-sensing subsystem, a display subsystem including a display, a logic subsystem, and a data-holding subsystem containing instructions executable by the logic subsystem. The system configured to display a displayed scene on the display; receive a dynamically-changing motion input from the motion-sensing subsystem that is generated in response to movement of a tracked object; generate, in real time, a dynamically-changing 3D spatial model of the tracked object based on the motion input; control, based on the movement of the tracked object and using the 3D spatial model, motion within the displayed scene. The system further configured to receive, from a secondary computing system, a secondary input; and control the displayed scene in response to the secondary input to visually represent interaction between the motion input and the secondary input.
Delivery Vehicles For En Route Food Product Preparation
Technologies are generally described for delivery vehicles and containers for en route food product preparation. Modular food product preparation systems that may receive food items and supplies and prepare food product(s) en route such that the food product(s) is prepared by the time the system reaches a delivery destination may include trucks, railway cars, watercraft, and similar vehicles. Food preparation process steps and timing may be determined based on travel information (e.g., delivery destination, routes, etc.), as well as, food item and food product information. An on-board controller may determine the process steps and timing(s) and control operations of robotic devices arranged modularly in a container or vehicle to execute steps of the food preparation process. Alternatively or additionally, the on-board controller may receive instructions from a remote controller. Travel parameters of the vehicle may also be adjusted based on the food preparation process and/or travel information.
On-Demand Robotic Food Assembly Equipment, And Related Systems And Methods
A piece of equipment for on-demand food preparation, for instance on an assembly line, that can use an end-of-arm tool to retrieve and deposit food items on a horizontal surface, such as the surface of a conveyor. The end-of-arm tool may include a peel, in which the peel can be translated from a retracted position to an extended position to transfer food items. The piece of equipment may translate the peel quickly into the extended position to facilitate the retrieval of food items from the horizontal surface. The piece of equipment may be rotated to position the robotic appendage and the peel in a desired direction. The peel may include a push bar that may be movable between a withdrawn position and a push position to selectively push items off of the peel.
Multi-Modal Vehicle Implemented Food Preparation, Cooking, And Distribution Systems And Methods
Vehicles, components, and methods are disclosed for preparing hot food during delivery or at a remote location. A multi-modal food distribution system may operate in one or more various modes, including a constellation mode, a cook enroute mode, and a pop-up kitchen mode, to deliver hot, prepared food to customers. The vehicles in the system may be configurable to change between each of the different modes depending upon information received by the system. The system may in the constellation mode include additional delivery vehicles that retrieve food from a vehicle that serves as a hub. The additional delivery vehicles may deliver the food to the delivery destination. In the cook enroute mode, the vehicle may prepare and cook food enroute to a delivery destination. In a pop-up kitchen mode, the vehicle may prepare food for pick up by customers.

Abstract:
A system for transporting food items can include a rack having a plurality of shelves for holding and storing the food items, the rack supported on a plurality of wheels so that the rack can be pushed on the wheels. The system can include a shuttle on which the rack can be positioned, the shuttle and rack including features allowing the rack to be locked to and unlocked from the shuttle. The system can include a cooler, a frame, and other components to which the shuttle can be docked and the rack can be transferred from the shuttle. The system can include a robotic arm for loading food items onto the shelves of the rack. The system can include an elevator assembly for loading food items onto the shelves of the rack.
The present technology relates to systems and methods for utilizing machine learning systems to improve farming and manufacturing in the food industry. For example, a method of the technology includes receiving, by the computational system, historical order information representative of a plurality of instances of historical orders for one or more prepared food items. The method also includes training a machine learning system based at least in part on the received historical order information. In addition, the method includes, for prepared food items, predicting, via the trained machine learning system of the computational system, an amount of future supply need of one or more ingredients for the prepared food items for a defined period of time in the future.
Multi-Modal Distribution Systems And Methods Using Vending Kiosks And Autonomous Delivery Vehicles
Vehicles, components, and methods are disclosed for distributing hot or cold food items from a vending kiosk, a locker system, or a self-propelled delivery vehicle. The vending kiosk may have multiple doors, at least one of which is unlocked responsive to confirming a purchase transaction or authenticating the presence of a person or device associated with the purchase transaction. The multiple doors provide access to respective compartments that may be selectively heated and refrigerated. Such temperature changes may be based upon a temperature control schedule. The locker system may include one or more configurable compartments that may be accessible via a set of set of doors that can be selectively coupled into larger doors. The self-propelled delivery vehicle may have a plurality of thermally insulated compartments that may be used to carry multiple items at different temperatures.
