Abstract:

A hermetic pressure connector which provides a pressure-tight, electrically conductive connection through a hole in a bulkhead. The connector includes a transverse support member having a high pressure side and an opposite low pressure side. A passage extends through the transverse support member between the opposite sides. A conductor pin having an axial portion extends through the passage. An insulating sleeve surrounds at least the axial portion of the conductor pin, thereby electrically insulating the transverse support member from the conductor pin. A molded connected body surrounds at least a central portion of the conductor pin at least at one of the high and low pressure sides to thereby mechanically support the conductor pin in the passage. The molded connector body is directly sealingly engaged with the conductor pin, the insulating sleeve and the transverse support member.

A glass-to-meal seal for use in high temperature and high pressure environments is described. A questionless case-based knowledge base suitable for access by an intelligent search engine and an associated method for constructing the same from pre-existing on-line documentation. A case structure for questionless cases is determined. The determined case structure includes a first field for containing a title for a case, a second field for containing a description of the case and a third field for containing a solution for the case. On-line documentation having information directed to a plurality of topics, each of which includes a title portion and a contents portion, is then provided. The information directed to each of the plurality of topics is then reconfigured into the determined case structure such that the title portion of each topic is configured as a first field of a corresponding case and the contents portion of each topic is configured as a second field of the corresponding case. A solution comprised of a path from the third field of the case to the second field of the case is then appended to each of the cases. The information reconfigured into questionless case structures are then combined to form a questionless case-based knowledge base.

Abstract:

A system and an associated method for determining a solution to a problem using on-line documentation. The system includes a processor-based intelligent search engine and an associated questionless case-based knowledge base which contains a series of questionless case structures, each comprised of a title, a description of a particular problem and a solution to the particular problem, stored in memory. Using a natural language description of the problem which is capable of representation by one or more strings of alpha-numeric characters, the search engine selects the questionless case structures which contains the solution to the problem by searching, each time one of the alpha-numeric characters is input, the knowledge base to identify those case structures which contain at least one word, or a portion thereof, which either matches the series of alpha-numeric characters, three consecutive alpha-numeric characters of the series of characters, or a numeric representation which falls within a predetermined value of a numeric representation input thereto. The case structures are ranked according to the type and number of matches and the case structure having the most matches is selected as containing the most probable solution to the problem.

Abstract:

Embodiments of the disclosure encompass methods and compositions for maintaining a healthy fibrin network in an individual. The disclosure includes methods of targeting fibrin in an individual for the purpose of restoring fibrin that is subject to a level of fibrinolysis that is deleterious, such as excessive or reduced with respect to the general population. Such modifications of fibrin in an individual may include direct targeting of fibrin with the A2 domain of von Willebrand factor or a functional derivative or fragment thereof. In specific embodiments, the methods restore to a normal level any imbalance between coagulation and inflammation.
