PETA criticizes NHL's use of penguins during Stadium Series game
Tracy Gray, a spokeswoman for the Pittsburgh Zoo, said in a statement that the safety of its animals are a top priority and that the animals were accompanied by zoo keepers and a veterinarian during the appearance at Heinz Field.
The dogs are being used to enhance the safety of human animal handlers and are part of the zoo's goal of "providing the best care possible for our elephants," Tracy Gray, spokeswoman for the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (http://bit.ly/1pHrvyB )

Zoo spokeswoman Tracy Gray said she had no information about the dogs arrival in Somerset County, but Allegheny Township Supervisor Dale E. Miller said he does not believe any dogs have been brought to the International Conservation Center.
