    A respiratory therapy device including a housing, a flow diverter structure, a high frequency pressure port (HF port), and an entrainment port. The housing defines a primary passageway having a patient interface side. The flow diverter structure is in fluid communication with the primary passageway and is characterized by the absence of a venturi tube. The HF port is configured for fluid connection to a source of oscillatory gas flow, and is fluidly associated with the flow diverter structure. The entrainment port is openable to ambient air, and is fluidly associated with the flow diverter structure. With this construction, the device is configured such that flow characteristics of gas flow from an external source are altered upon interacting with the flow diverter structure to create a pressure drop for drawing in ambient air through the entrainment port in delivering a percussive pressure therapy to the patient side.

    Disclosed is a hemodynamic monitoring system, and method and associated harness device. The method and system are configured to allow a user that has received a permanent sensing implant within their vasculature to place a reader device in a hands free manner in communication with the implant through the chest of the user to measure at least one hemodynamic parameter such as pulmonary artery pressure. The reader device may be worn by the patient with a harness device to be configured to wirelessly communicate with said implant when the patient is in a specific patient state, such as resting, exercising, recovering, seated, or supine. The reader may be configured to take measurements from the implant when the patient is in the specific patient state, in order to acquire data from said implant related to said parameter and to upload said data to an external device.

    The present disclosure relates to various anchoring assemblies, systems, and methods for a catheter delivered device or otherwise implantable biomedical sensors. In one instance the anchoring systems of the present disclosure are designed to be used in connection with a biomedical sensor configured to be placed in the various locations within the anatomy of a patient including: a junction of a renal vein and an inferior vena cava, a junction of a jugular vein branch and a subclavian vein branch, a junction of a brachiocephalic vein branch and a superior vena cava, or a junction of an iliac vein branch and an inferior vena cava. In one embodiment, an biomedical sensor and anchoring system can be implanted in an organ of a patient or in an organ to be transplanted within a patient.

    The present disclosure relates to a trocar assembly with an integrated scope-cleaning structure. The trocar assembly may include a housing defining boundaries of a chamber with (a) a proximal opening configured to receive a distal end of a scope, and (b) a distal opening in fluid and mechanical communication with a trocar cannula. The trocar assembly may further include a cleaning element located at least partially between the proximal opening and the distal opening, where the cleaning element is movable with respect to the housing from at least a first setting where a first portion of the cleaning element may be in a first location and may form a first cleaning surface within the chamber, the first cleaning surface configured to remove debris from a distal end of the scope when the distal end of the scope contacts the first portion of the cleaning element.

    An adjustable length laparoscopic instrument is provided. The instrument includes a shaft with a shaft distal end and a shaft proximal end. The instrument further includes an actuation rod with an actuation rode distal end and an actuation rod proximal end. The actuation rod is receivable by the shaft such that the actuation rod can translate longitudinally relative to the shaft to actuate an end effector. The instrument further includes a handle configured to hold the shaft and the actuation rod. The handle is configured to cause the actuation rod to translate longitudinally relative to the shaft to actuate the end effector. The instrument further includes a length adjustment mechanism configured to adjust a shaft length. The shaft length is defined between the handle and the shaft distal end.

    An adjustable retractor blade and retractor system are disclosed. The retractor blade includes a fixed portion, extendible portion, and means for adjusting the length of the retractor blade. The means for adjusting may include a threaded rod engaging the fixed portion with the extendible portion. In one aspect, the extendible portion includes a plurality of stackable members, with the length of the adjustable blade adjusted by attaching stackable members. In one aspect, the fixed portion includes a plurality of holes, and the extendible portion includes at least one post, the plurality of holes configured to receive the at least one post, with the length of the adjustable blade adjusted by slidably displacing the extendible portion until the at least one post engages with at least one of the plurality of holes. Methods are provided for adjusting the length of a retractor blade.
