Abstract:

Consumer-generated media (CGM) and/or other media are monitored to allow an organization to become aware of, and respond to, issues that may affect how it is perceived by the public. An extract, transform, load (ETL) engine is used to process CGM and other media content, and an analytical engine utilizes a multi-step progressive filtering approach to identify those documents that are most relevant. The filtering approach includes executing broad queries to extract relevant content from different CGM and other sources, extracting text snippets from the relevant content and performing de-duplication, defining organizational identity (e. g. , brand name, trade name, or company name) and hot-topic models using a rule-based and statistical-based approach, and using the models together in an orthogonal filtering approach to effectively generate alerts and reports. The methodology is found to be substantially more effective compared to a conventional keyword based approach.

Abstract:

A system and method for generating a work set of documents is disclosed. In a preferred embodiment, the documents being grouped together are patent documents. The system and method create work file records that name the work file and contain document identifiers for a list of documents that the user wants to group together. The document identifiers contained in the work file records link to document records stored on a document database. By grouping documents together, a system user can recall the group of documents for review or some form of analysis at a later time.

A computer program product for an indexer-agnostic index building system includes a computer readable storage medium to store a computer readable program, wherein the computer readable program, when executed on a computer, causes the computer to perform operations for creating a semantically aggregated index. Embodiments of the invention relate to building a distributed reverse semantic index. In one general embodiment a plurality of documents are received with each document having at least one defined rule and or semantic. The documents are distributed among a plurality of nodes of a system. The documents are processed in a generally parallel fashion. Processing the documents includes processing text data of each of the document and breaking each document into fields to index the text data to create index data by deferring how to categorize the text data based upon the defined rule and or semantics. The indexed data is combined back together to create an indexer-agnostic semantic index including a plurality of the semantic index shards and to semantically classify the documents based on the index shards into groups based on document type to create the distributed reverse semantic index.

A plurality of executing microservices associated with respective features of an application are managed using a computer. The microservices are operating within a container orchestrator platform. Abstract:

According to one embodiment, a computer-implemented method for dynamic, cognitive hybrid positioning within an indoor environment includes: receiving fingerprinting training data corresponding to the indoor environment, trilateration data corresponding to the indoor environment, triangulation data corresponding to the indoor environment, or a combination of the fingerprinting training data, the trilateration data, and/or the triangulation data; estimating a layout of the indoor environment based at least in part on the fingerprinting training data; classifying at least some areas of the estimated layout according to one of a plurality of predetermined area types; and determining an optimum positioning technique to utilize for each area of the estimated layout, wherein the optimum positioning technique is determined based at least in part on the area type. Corresponding system and computer program product embodiments are also disclosed, as well as hybrid techniques for determining user position within an environment.
