Abstract:
A notebook that has a latch for securing the closure of the notebook wherein the latch uses a writing utensil to secure the closure of the notebook. In some embodiments, the latch comprises a loop. The main body of the notebook has an opening that corresponds to the shape of the loop such that when the notebook closes, the loop can substantially pass through the opening. A writing utensil or other instrument shaped like a writing utensil is then inserted into the loop, securing the closure of the notebook. Some embodiments include one or more additional loops through which the writing utensil is inserted.
Provided herein are methods, compounds, and compositions for reducing expression of a TTC39 mRNA and protein in an animal. Also provided herein are methods, compounds, and compositions for increasing HDL and/or decreasing PCSK9 in an animal. Such methods, compounds, and compositions are useful to treat, prevent, delay, or ameliorate cardiovascular disease, or a symptom thereof.
Eye wear that is structured to give a customized fit to each individual wearer is disclosed. The eye wear comprises a lens-supporting frame, a surface engaging member and a retractable device interconnecting the lens-supporting frame to the surface engaging member. Various embodiments are disclosed, but one exemplary embodiment comprises a frame structured with the retractable device and a pair of ear pieces which are interconnected to the frame member by the retractable device. The eye wear are adjustable to the face and may readily be moved from the wearer's eyes to, for example, the wearer's forehead without having the lens-supporting frame slip.
A magnetic picture display device is described. The invention includes a horizontal ground surface, a planar item to be displayed, a first support element and at least one front surface-contacting member. The display item has a front surface, a rear surface and at least one edge. The first support element has at least one ground surface contacting portion and at least one rear surface contacting portion. The rear surface-contacting portion includes ferromagnetic material. The front surface-contacting member includes a high-strength magnet. To use the invention the ground surface contacting is located on the ground surface and the rear surface of the item is located on the rear surface contacting portion of the first support element. The front surface contacting member is located on the front surface of the item at a point closest to the rear surface contacting portion of the first support element. This causes the ferromagnetic material in the front surface-contacting member to attract the ferromagnetic material in first support element and causes a magnetic field to flow through the item.

Abstract:
A strain-relief end bell for an electrical connector assembly includes a ratcheting mechanism that allows the end bell to resist vibration-induced decoupling once it is threaded onto an electrical connector. The ratcheting mechanism includes a retainer ring that is seated between an internally-threaded coupling ring and an annular fitting around which the coupling ring is rotatably mounted. The retainer ring is fixed to the coupling ring so that both rings are rotatable together. The inner peripheral edge of the retainer ring has a plurality of equidistantly-spaced detents that engage a plurality of rotational bearings on the annular fitting as the coupling ring and the retainer ring are rotated with respect to the annular fitting. The engagement between the detents and the bearings creates a ratcheting effect that restrains the coupling ring from rotating with respect to the fitting unless a manual effort is applied to it. The retainer ring also restrains the coupling ring from axial movement with respect to the annular fitting.
