Abstract:

A system for data transmission and reception is provided. The system includes a wireless data broadcast system () broadcasting outgoing data from a data network to a plurality of users () using one or more wireless broadcast repeaters. A wireless data return path system receives incoming data from the plurality of users and provides the incoming data to the data network. The wireless data return path system further comprises one or more wireless collector system () receiving data from a predetermined set of the plurality of users, and one or more return path repeater systems receiving data from one or more predetermined wireless collector systems. The system also uses terrestrial line-of-sight broadcasting in conjunction with satellite data transmission systems.

Abstract:

The present invention is directed to a method and apparatus for providing higher bandwidth access to the internet. A terrestrial forward path is established between an end-user and a Wireless Hub. A wireless terrestrial reverse path is then established between the Wireless Hub and the end-user. The end-user accesses the Wireless Hub using a proxy address of a master server located in the Wireless Hub. The master server controls a slave server which retrieves internet content and provides it back to the master server. The internet content is compressed into an MPEG compliant transport stream, modulated on an intermediate frequency and then up-converted. The signal is composed by using the Mac address and the TCP/IP address of several end-user systems to delimit the internet content requested by the end-user. The signal is then broadcast back to all the end-users simultaneously. The end-users receive the broadcasted signal and then down-convert, demodulate and decompress the signal. The information content requested by the end-user is then accessed, using the Mac address and the TCP/IP address.

Abstract:

Systems and methods for gamification-based engagement are disclosed. In one embodiment, in an information processing apparatus comprising at least one computer processor, a method for gamification-based engagement, may include: (1) receiving, from a plurality of data sources, customer activity data comprising customer behavioral data and customer transactional data for a plurality of customers; (2) generating a dynamic customer profile for each of the customers based on the customer activity data and the customer transactional data; (3) retrieving challenge data for a challenge comprising an identification of a plurality of tasks to be completed, an order in which the tasks are to be completed, and an incentive for completing the tasks; (4) dynamically matching one of the customers to the challenge; (5) issuing the challenge to the customer; (6) tracking the customer's response to the challenge; and (7) updating the customer's dynamic customer profile based on the customer's response.
