The present invention is directed to a system and method for visualizing information, e. g. , information regarding a sporting event. The method may comprise identifying an event type and generating a plurality of buttons, the plurality of buttons arranged in a button hierarchy. A first level of the button hierarchy comprising one or more first level buttons is displayed with a lens further displayed on a given one of the one or more first level buttons, the lens operative to present first level data for the given first level button.

Abstract:

The present invention is directed towards systems and methods for providing a framework for providing one or more applications to a user set top device. The method according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises providing a minimized state wherein installed applications are displayed as one or more minimized widgets on an output device in communication with to the user device wherein the list of the installed applications comprises one or more indications of passively updated content associated with the installed applications. In response to the selection of a minimized widget command, a widget state is provided wherein a portion of the output device is allocated for the display of additional widget content in response to the selection of a minimized widget. In response to a remote control command, a full-screen state is provided wherein full-screen version of the minimized widget may be displayed. Abstract:

Methods, systems and computer readable medium with program instructions for providing contextually relevant information for multimedia content streaming through a rendering device, includes detecting a selection of the multimedia content for rendering on the rendering device. An audio signal of the multimedia content is retrieved and analyzed to generate an audio fingerprint. The generated audio fingerprint is used to identify the multimedia content that is selected for rendering. Contextually relevant content for a portion of the multimedia content being rendered on the rendering device is dynamically retrieved from one or more sources and mapped to data associated with the portion of the multimedia content. The mapping results in the rendering of the relevant content during the rendering of the portion of the multimedia content and provides additional information that is contextually relevant to the portion of the multimedia content that is currently being rendered on the rendering device.

Abstract:

Methods and systems for sharing content includes detecting selection of multimedia content at a first device. The selection causes automatic rendition of the selected multimedia content on a display portion of the first device. Selection of a second device is detected at a user interface of the first device. The user interface identifies a plurality of devices that have an established communication pairing with the first device. A gesture made with the first device while the second device continues to be selected, is identified. The gesture acts as a trigger for sharing the selected multimedia content with the second device. The gesture causes the multimedia content to be automatically transmitted to the second device for rendering at a display portion of the second device.
