Abstract:

A detailing tool for processing electronic component substrate includes a supporting frame, a substrate carrier movable on the supporting frame to receive and secure the substrate during processing by the tool, and a pair of cutter assembly attached to said supporting frame for removing tails on said substrate. The cutter assemblies self-align âtoâ the substrate during initial substrate loading in a processing area of the tool. Each cutter assembly includes a pair of spaced, translatable and opposed cutters that simultaneously move towards each another while removing the tails from the corners of the substrate that remains stationary. The pair of cutter assemblies are symmetrically attached to the supporting frame with respect to an axis for indexing the substrate. Thus, the invention provides a tool for cutting tails from opposite corners on the substrate edge automatically and simultaneously during processing.

Abstract:

The present invention is directed to a human body protecting element for use with and attachment to an article of clothing, such as sports apparel, to protect a wearer from impact and frictional forces, such as road rash. One exemplary body protecting element includes a first part having a first locking member. The first part is for placement along an inner surface of the article of clothing. The body protecting element also includes a second part having a second locking member that is complementary to the first locking member and results in a mechanical coupling (e.g., a snap-fit attachment) between the first and second parts when the first and second locking members engage one another. The second part is for placement along an outer surface of the article of clothing and includes an outer ground contacting contoured surface. The ground contacting surface provides a high impact surface that is contoured so that if the wearer contacts and/or slides across the ground, the ground contacting surface protects the wearer by shielding the wearer's body from the abrasive ground surface.

Abstract:

The present invention is directed to a novel method of fabricating and composition for chalcogenide cathode-active electrodes. The method comprises the steps of: (a) combining the cathode-active material in particulate form with about 0. 1 to about 10 percent by weight of a neutralized sulfonated ionomer, based on the total weight of the cathode-active material and the ionomer, and about 10 to about 90 percent by weight of solvent, based on the total weight of the cathode-active material, ionomer and solvent, wherein said solvent is a cosolvent system which includes one or more solvents selected from the group consisting of normal and aromatic hydrocarbons and one or more solvents selected from the group consisting of alcohols, amines, amides, nitriles, nitro-compounds, lactones and acetols; (b) forming the desired electrode configuration with the resulting mixture; and (c) drying the formed electrode so as to volatilize the solvent. The composition consists essentially of (a) a chalcogenide material in a particulate form consisting of one or more compounds selected from a group consisting of the sulfides, selenides and tellurides of titanium, zirconium, hafnium, niobium, tantalum, molybdenum and vanadium; and (b) less than about 10 weight percent of a neutralized sulfonated elastomeric polymer having less than about 6 mole percent neutralized sulfonate groups per 100 grams of said polymer.

Abstract:

Abstract:

The present invention relates to polymeric compositions formed from sulfonated co- or terpolymers which are formed by a free radical co- or terpolymerization process, wherein the resultant co- or terpolymers have an Mn of about 5,000 to 200,000 and these co- or terpolymers have at least about 0. 5 weight percent of chemically combined sulfur therein. The free radical co- or terpolymerization process of the instant invention can be generally described as a free radical emulsion polymerization of at least one conjugated diene or a mixture of styrene and butadiene with a sulfonate monomer which is water soluble, at a temperature sufficient to cause polymerization, wherein the initiator is preferably based on a peroxide initiator accelerated by a reducing agent, and suitable surfactants are employed. Upon completion of the free radical polymerization, the resultant latex is coagulated and the water insoluble polymer is recovered.

Abstract:

A forward recovery foot support system for any shoe but primarily for running and jogging shoes. The system includes a base conforming generally to the contour of a human foot, a first ray extension attached to the base and extending substantially only under the first proximal phalanx of the foot, a fifth ray extension attached to the base and extending substantially only under the fifth proximal phalanx of the foot, and a heel post attached to the base and extending substantially only under the heel bone and providing added elevation at the most lateral aspect of the heel bone to compensate for the natural inversion of 2. degree. -3. degree. that is present in most persons' heels.
