Abstract:

A panel assembly for covering and uncovering an opening in a vehicle includes a guide rail extending longitudinally therealong. A panel extends between front and rear edges and is movable relative to the guide rail. A guide mechanism is slidably coupled to the guide rail. A carrier bracket is fixedly secured to the panel and slidably coupled to the guide mechanism. A latch is operatively coupled to the panel and slidably coupled to the guide rail. The latch is operable between a locked position preventing longitudinal movement of the panel and an unlocked position allowing longitudinal movement of the panel. A motor drives the guide mechanism forward along the guide rail moving the panel from a close position to a venting position, and rearward along the guide rail actuating the latch to the unlocked position and moving the panel from the close position to an open position.

Abstract:

A retractable roof assembly () is provided for a motor vehicle () having a rear seat () and spaced apart roof side frame members () defining a roof opening (). The retractable roof assembly () includes a split rail assembly () having a fixed rail () adapted to be fixedly secured to each of the roof side frame members () and extending along a portion thereof, and a movable rail () extending rearward of the fixed rail () along a remaining portion of each of the roof side frame members (). A plurality of roof panels () extends between the roof side frame members () and slidably engages the split rail assembly () for selective movement into a stacked configuration above the movable rail (). A linkage assembly () is operably connected to the movable rail () for pivoting and articulating the movable rail () relative to the fixed rail () when the plurality of roof panels () is in the stacked configuration in order to stow the plurality of roof panels () behind the rear seat () of the motor vehicle () such that the entire roof opening () is exposed.

A door assembly for a motor vehicle includes an interior panel defining a compartment and an exterior panel secured to the interior panel and having an aperture providing access to the compartment. An equipment module is sized to enter the compartment via the aperture. The equipment module includes a carrier plate adapted to abut against a portion of the exterior panel surrounding the aperture. A door cartridge assembly is provided to be installed into a vehicle door. The assembly includes a door hardware mounting panel having door components mounted thereon and being constructed and arranged to be fixedly mounted to a vehicle door; coupling structure carried by the mounting panel; and a door latch assembly constructed and arranged to be secured to a vehicle door to provide a latch for the vehicle door. A trailer is provided with a frame to connect to an off-road vehicle. A body is pivotally connected relative to the frame and includes a bed and a side panel extending transversely from the bed to define a cargo area. A removable seat for a vehicle that includes a roll over protection system. The seat includes a seat bottom and a seat back assembly. The seat bottom adapted to be removably coupled to the vehicle. The seat back assembly is spaced apart from the seat bottom and adapted to be fixed by a bracket or removably coupled to first and second posts of the roll over protection system. The seat back assembly includes a seat back, a beam and saddles. The seat back is longitudinally oriented and parallel to a forward direction of vehicle travel. The beam includes a tube, a first bracket and a second bracket. The first bracket being fixed to a first end of the tube and the second bracket being fixed to a second end of the tube. The saddles fixing the tube to the seat back and includes a curved portion fixed to the tube.
