Abstract:
A cellular container assembly comprises collapsible linked two-layer, open-ended structure containers formed of opposed container walls. The containers are formed by weldment at opposed contacting wall portions to form multiple cells for retention of a soil mix and an associated plant. The assembly also comprises a soil drain board upon which the containers are supported. The drain board defines a fluid permeable mat having pylons and a foraminous screen resting upon the mat. The drain board is mounted in a watertight box to confine the containers and drainage board. A drain in the box recycles fluid or permits runoff.
Method For Fixing A Reinforcing Mesh To A Base Or To The Ground
Method of providing a reinforced substrate includes providing a base layer, providing a reinforcing mesh on the base layer and providing an adhesive strip. The adhesive strip includes an adhesive and a backing covering the adhesive. The adhesive strip is put on at least a portion of the reinforcing mesh, and force is applied to the adhesive strip to adhere the adhesive strip to the base layer and to the reinforcing mesh, so that the reinforcing mesh is secured to the base layer. The resultant reinforced substrate may include a reinforcing mesh having longitudinal and transverse wires which are surrounded by a solid adhesive on the adhesive strip to reduce or eliminate movement of the reinforcing mesh during the making of the reinforced substrate.

Abstract:
Debris and sediment reduction apparatus and method is provided. The apparatus and method include the insertion of a support member into a culvert or drainage pipe with a portion of the support member extending from the intake end of the culvert. A debris cap comprising a plurality of apertures is selectively placed on and secured to the support member. Fluid entering the culvert is filtered via the debris cap. The support member includes optional tabs to maintain a portion of the support member to the exterior of the pipe wherein the debris cap fits over the portion of the support member located to the exterior of the culvert. In one embodiment, the debris cap further comprises upper and lower portions wherein the apertures of the upper and lower portions are distinctly sized with the apertures of the lower portion being smaller than the apertures of the upper portion.

Abstract:
A storm sewer catch basin filter includes a frame having a plurality of radially extending arms, each arm having an end. The catch basin filter further includes an edge piece fixed to the end of each of the arms and be engageable with a lip in a storm sewer catch basin. Furthermore, the catch basin filter includes a filter bag, supported from the edge pieces, and wherein the filter bag has an open top for receiving water entering the storm sewer catch basin, so that the water is filtered as it passes through the filter bag.
A hydrant flushing diffuser handles a flow of water from a hydrant as it is being flushed. The diffuser allows the flushing to take place in a safe manner and without destroying surrounding landscaping or other objects. The invention includes a hydrant flushing diffuser having a hood and a chute. The hood has a closed top and an open base and includes an aperture. The chute further comprises a porous fabric bag that is open on one end, wherein the chute is connected to the hood so that open end of the bag surrounds the aperture in the hood.
