A method, apparatus, article of manufacture, and a memory structure for providing advertisements into a streamed media program is disclosed. Abstract:

A method, apparatus, system, article of manufacture, and computer readable storage medium provide the ability to predict and utilize a user's attributes. A sample user behavior and a sample user attribute are collected. A model is trained based on the sample user behavior and sample user attribute. Using the model, a probability of a predicted user attribute based on the sample user behavior is predicted. Using the model and the probability, the predicted user attribute is fuzzily determined based on a real user behavior. The predicted user attribute is used to improve a user's experience.

A coding conditions selection apparatus, adapted for inclusion in an MPEG-II encoder chip, and methods for selecting encoding parameters for a macroblock of video data includes an encoder decision block ("EDB") for receiving and concurrently stratifying into a plurality of blocks digital video data associated with a macroblock. Each block may correspond to video data for pels of the macroblock, or a block may correspond to differences produced by subtracting digital video data for pels of a reference frame of video from digital video data for pels of the macroblock. The EDB while evaluating functions, e. g. either a variance or a mean square error, concurrently processes the stratified data for several blocks while avoiding any redundant computations. A plurality of encoding conditions are determined based upon the block function evaluations.

Systems and methods for managing a fleet of vehicles are provided. In one example embodiment, a computer-implemented method includes obtaining data representing vehicle state information associated with one or more vehicles among a fleet of vehicles at one or more times. The method includes predicting a future vehicle state associated with the one or more vehicles at one or more future times. The method includes scheduling a vehicle assignment in a predetermined set of vehicle assignments for a selected vehicle among the one or more vehicles before a first future time among the one or more future times. Abstract:

Techniques are disclosed that generally relate to content delivery techniques in audio-visual systems. In an audio-visual system, a method of using sensors to incrementally present content elements on a display includes presenting a first content element on the display, receiving first data from a sensor, the first data associated with a first distance. An increment coefficient is identified, and a portion size is determined by reducing the first distance by the increment coefficient. Finally, an unseen portion of a second content element is incrementally added to the display, and a presented portion of the first content element is incrementally removed from the display, the size of the portions added and removed being equal to the determined portion size.
