A system of multi-modal transmission of packetized data in a voice activated data packet based computer network environment is provided. A natural language processor component can parse an input audio signal to identify a request and a trigger keyword. Based on the input audio signal, a direct action application programming interface can generate a first action data structure, and a content selector component can select a content item. An interface management component can identify first and second candidate interfaces, and respective resource utilization values. The interface management component can select, based on the resource utilization values, the first candidate interface to present the content item. The interface management component can provide the first action data structure to the client computing device for rendering as audio output, and can transmit the content item converted for a first modality to deliver the content item for rendering from the selected interface.
Search And Retrieval Of Keyed Data Maintained Using A Keyed Database
This document describes a digital component deduplication system for generating packetized data with encryption tokens for transmittal over one or more packetized networks. A packetized data search determines that an encryption token is included with the packetized data. The encryption token includes keyed data representing a first digital component. The packetized data search engine searches the keyed database to identify contents, in the keyed database, of one or more entries that includes the keyed data representing the first digital component. A list of candidate digital components is generated. For candidate digital components associated with a data interface for requesting an eligibility value from a second client device associated with the candidate digital component, a security server generates, using the data interface, additional packetized data comprising i) a request for the eligibility value from the second client device, and ii) the encryption token.

Abstract:
Systems and methods for optionally restricting the rendering of particular content items. An example method comprising: receiving a plurality of content rendering options supported by a client device; determining a content item to be rendered, the content item being associated with a restriction attribute; selecting a content rendering option supported by the client device in view of the restriction attribute; generating a token comprising data associated with the selected content rendering option and the content item; receiving a client request from the client device, wherein the client request is associated with the content item and indicates a chosen content rendering option; comparing the data of the token with the chosen content rendering option indicated by the client request to determine a match; and granting the client device access to perform the chosen content rendering option on the content item based on the outcome of the determination of the match.
Customizing Media Items For Playback On Alternative Playback Devices Paired With A User Device
A user device receives a first media item that is associated with a second media item. The device determines that a playback state for the device indicates that the device is paired with an alternative playback device. The device sends the playback state in a request for the second media item, receives the second media item in a first format for playback on the user device and in a second format for playback on the alternative playback device. The device determines whether the playback state of the device is the same. The device displays a first graphical representation of the second media item in the first format on the user device if the user device is no longer paired with the alternative playback device and displays a second graphical representation of the second media item in the second format on the user device if the user device is still paired with the alternative playback device.

Abstract:
Systems and methods of reducing remote procedure calls in multimedia content delivery are described. A client device can request and receive digital content for presentation via an application executing on the client device in a sandboxed media environment. A markup interpreter executing on the client device can intercept, prior to receipt by the application executing in the sandboxed media environment, the content item. The markup interpreter can parse the content item to extract an identifier of a script. The markup interpreter can identify the script stored in a local cache on the client device separate from the sandboxed media environment. The markup interpreter can construct a modified content item. The markup interpreter can forward the modified content item to the application executing on the client device in the sandboxed media environment to cause the application to execute the modified content item.

Abstract:
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for reducing latency in client side presentation of content. In one aspect, a method includes: receiving a request for content to cache on a client device for subsequent presentation with one or more target documents linked to by a document; identifying an interaction likelihood for each link; determining, for each target document, content types that are eligible to be presented in slots of the target document; identifying, for each content type, target documents that include slots in which the content type is eligible to be presented; determining, for each content type, a presentation likelihood based on an aggregation of the interaction likelihoods of the target documents for that content type; ranking each content type based on the presentation likelihoods; and caching, on the client device, third party content having a highest ranked content type.
