Abstract:

A brazing product for fluxless brazing comprises a substrate and a filler metal-forming composition applied to the substrate. The substrate preferably comprises aluminum, an aluminum alloy or another metal and may include at least one layer of a ceramic, carbide or nitride. The filler metal-forming composition comprises a liquid-forming layer comprising silicon and a braze-promoting layer comprising one or more metals selected from the group comprising nickel, cobalt, palladium and iron. The liquid-forming layer comprises one or more material layers. Where the liquid-forming layer comprises a plurality of layers, it may include at least one layer consisting essentially of silicon.

A brazing product for fluxless brazing comprises an aluminum or aluminum alloy substrate; a layer of an aluminum eutectic-forming layer applied to the substrate, and a braze-promoting layer comprising one or more metals from the group comprising nickel, cobalt and iron is applied on the eutectic-forming layer. The eutectic-forming layer is preferably Si deposited by physical vapor deposition. The brazing product may be brazed to another aluminum shape or to a shape comprised of a dissimilar metal.

Abstract:

A method of preparing cellulosic biomass material for subsequent processing first comprises moving at least one stream of biomass material along a flow path. Then, the stream of cellulosic biomass material can be explosively dried and pulverized to disrupt lignocellulosic bonds, and to reduce a moisture content and a particle size of the cellulosic biomass material. Then, the stream of cellulosic biomass material can be electrically degraded the stream of cellulosic biomass material to disrupt lignocellulosic bonds. Additional pre-treatment and post-treatment processes can also be included.

Abstract:

A tamper-evident, tamper-resistant closure for an open neck container having a detachable closure cap that is adapted to open and close the dispenser end. A breakaway tether is integrally molded to the closure cap and a first closure ring which fits within the closure cap and around the container neck. A second tether is integrally formed with the closure cap and a second closure ring. The breakaway tether will rupture if this container is tampered with. Also the breakaway tether may be broken when the contents of the container is to be used. The second tether securely maintains the closure cap attached to the main closure.

A new platen for use with a printing machine, and preferably for allowing automatic unloading of a printed article from a support surface of the platen is disclosed. The disclosed platen includes a structure for attachment to the printing machine, a support surface, and a gripping area disposed about the support surface to allow an automatic unloader to grip and remove an article from the support surface. Abstract:

A contaminant remover for a screen printing operation using a multiple station printing machine having at least a first printing station is disclosed. The contaminant remover has a support arm attached to the first printing station of the printing machine, and a contaminant removal surface attached to the support arm. As a printing surface is automatically brought into printing alignment with the first printing station, the contaminant removal surface engages the printing surface and moves across the printing surface to remove contaminants which may undesirably block portions of the screen. The contaminant removal surface is preferably a plurality of removable roller brushes having an adhesive applied to their respective surfaces.
