Abstract:

A vehicle theft prevention system effectively secures the contents and/or occupants of a parked vehicle. The system includes protective cover plates for the vehicle windows and locks, with either or both sets of cover plates being remotely actuated by a central control system. The side window covers are mounted within the vehicle doors and/or rear side panels and move parallel to the adjacent glass window panes, with front and rear covers being retractable into the vehicle roof. A lift assembly extends and retract the coverings. The same motor may operate to move both the window coverings and adjacent glass window panes, or separate mechanisms may be provided. The keyhole shield or lock cover prevents an intruder from picking or breaking the locks of the vehicle. Electric motors extend and retract the lock cover plates between a lock concealing position and a lock access position.

Abstract:

Wafers from plural non-vacuum multiple wafer carriers are loaded and unloaded in an atmospheric front end of a wafer processing machine and transferred to and from a high vacuum chamber of a transfer module of a wafer processing cluster tool, or back end, through a single two-wafer loadlock. Preferably, with the wafers oriented horizontally throughout, two wafers are sequentially loaded into and simultaneously moved inbound to the high vacuum back end of the system, through one loadlock and sequentially moved into and simultaneously moved outbound through the same loadlock, the loadlock having a pair of water cooled supports for simultaneously actively cooling the two wafers. In both the atmospheric front end and vacuum back end environments, transfer arms load and unload the loadlock, and transfer wafers within the environments when all loadlocks are sealed. Preferably, two wafers are actively cooled in the loadlock. Preferably also, wafers are passed through a wafer aligner after being removed from a carrier and before placed in the loadlock.

Abstract:

A sputter coating apparatus displays set and alternative machine parameters, entered or calculated from entered or measured data, for selection by the operator. The apparatus performs a sputter coating process to produce sputter coated articles in accordance with the selected machine parameters. Process parameters familiar to the person creating the process, such as desired coating thickness and desired deposition rate, may be entered by the operator. Measured data such as actual coating thickness at a plurality of points on a previously processed wafer may be entered by an operator or automatically measured from a wafer. Alternative machine parameters such as target sputtering power may be entered by an operator or calculated from entered process parameters or measured data. The operator selects and initiates a process in accordance with the selections by entering commands. The machine parameters control separately the sputtering from different regions of the sputtering surface of a one piece sputtering target by alternately energizing different plasmas over the different target regions and energizing the target in accordance with different machine parameters.

Abstract:

The instant invention provides a pet litter box for a household pet such as a cat or a dog. The pet litter box may include a housing having several vertically spaced slots located in one face of the housing and several grooves located on an interior surface of the housing and associated with each slot. The housing may also have a top opening and a bottom opening. A first imperforate tray may be positioned within a bottom slot of the housing and covered with pet litter material. After the pet has used the litter box on several occasions, a perforated tray may be positioned within an upper groove of the housing. Further, a second imperforate tray may be positioned within the litter box above the perforated tray. The litter box may be inverted and shaken, so unused litter material separates from commingled pet waste and used litter material and passes through apertures in the perforated tray. The first imperforate tray is removed from the litter box to expose the commingled pet waste and used litter material, so the waste may be removed from the litter box.

A multiple band frequency response controller for use in audio applications, to precisely control and equalize audio system response. The frequency response controller shown will adjust response in ten octave bands. The unique feedback system used will generate response curves of increased smoothness and accuracy. Abstract:

Breast securement devices for imaging systems are provided. The securement device can include a breast tray configured to support a patient's breast. In one example, one or more walls extend from the breast tray to receive the patient's breast. In another example, a pair of arms pivotably extend at least partially over the breast tray to receive the patient's breast therebetween. In still another example, a membrane covers the breast tray and the patient's breast and selectively couples to the breast tray via a suction force. In yet another example, a paddle includes a plurality of flexible fingers that contour to the patient's breast, or includes an array of pins that independently slide within of the paddle and contour to the patient's breast, or includes a bladder having non-Newtonian fluid. Additionally or alternatively, a sling may receive the patient's breast and support the breast from below.
