Abstract:

A conventional light plate for a systems control panel is mounted on a machined front plate which, in turn, is maintained a predetermined uniform distance from a front printed wiring assembly (PWA). A plurality of systems control devices including one or more of switches (toggle switches, rotary switches, push button switches), rheostats and annunciators are mounted on the front plate and front PWA. Each of the systems control devices has one or more solid state elements mounted on the PWA. For example, the switches carry small magnets which, by manipulation of operating switch levers or knobs, move into and out of close proximity to magnet sensitive switching devices mounted on the front PWA.

Abstract:

AC to DC signal conversion for use in applications including conditioning of signals supplied by inductive position sensors that are employed in aircraft electrical and electronic systems. First and second switching circuits (14 and 16) are synchronously switched between operational states in which an applied AC signal is supplied to the switching circuits and a second operational state in which the switching circuits supply charge (current). When one switching circuit (e. g. , 14) is in the first operational state, the second switching circuit (e. g. , 16) is in the second operational state so that one switching circuit senses the AC signal during positive half cycles and the other switching circuit senses the AC signal during negative half cycles. A pair of capacitors (18 and 20) are connected between a pair of output terminals. The first switching circuit (14) charges one capacitor (18) when the first switching circuit is in its second operational state and the second switching circuit (16) charges the other capacitor (20) when the second switching circuit is in its second operational state.

Abstract:

A typesetting terminal adapted for operating a photo typesetter includes a data processor with a plurality of peripheral devices coupled thereto, such as a keyboard, cathode ray tube display, cursor control and a plurality of tape transports. Information from the keyboard and selected tape transports is read into the data processor memory for access and display by the cathode ray tube and outputting to a further tape device. Desired information can be searched in the various input tapes for display, editing and combination with information derived from another input.
