Described herein is an exercise system having wearable components and resistance components. For example, in one illustrative embodiment, an exercise system can include a vest, at least one adjustable band and a resistance device. The vest can have a plurality of anchors and the adjustable band can be worn on a user's arms or legs and have at least one anchor. The resistance device can comprise (a) an anchor attachment section that can be detachably connectable to at least one of the anchors of at least one of the vest and the at least one adjustable band and (b) an object attachment section that can be removably secured to an object. When the anchor attachment section is connected to at least one of the anchors of at least one of the vest and the at least one adjustable band and the object attachment section is connected to an object, the resistance device is capable of resisting movement of a user wearing said one of the vest and at least one adjustable band away from the object.
The present disclosure concerns an exercise device, and more particularly a combination balance and stability training and resistance training exercise device, comprising a platform and a balance element. The exercise device can also comprise one or more resilient, elongate resistance training elements for resistance training. The exercise device can be provided with a stabilizing device. When removed from the stabilizing device, the exercise device can be used in a manner similar to a conventional balance board. When mounted on the stabilizing device, the exercise device is supported in a stable orientation for performing exercises requiring a stable and balanced support surface.
Multi-use training apparatuses including a base, a rotating support rotationally mounted to the base, and a bar pivotally mounted to the rotating support. The base defines a top and a vertically extending first axis. The rotating support is rotationally mounted on the top of the base in a position to rotate about the first axis. The rotating support includes a first projection extending vertically from the rotating support and defining a first port. The rotating support includes a second protection extending vertically from the rotating support and defining a second port, the second projection being spaced from the first projection. The rotating support includes a fulcrum extending from the first projection to the second projection and supported within the first port and the second port, the fulcrum defining a second axis transverse to the first axis. The bar extends transverse to the second axis and is supported by the fulcrum at an intermediate longitudinal position of the bar.
Devices for adjusting the fit of footwear, some examples including resilient laces operatively coupled to first retaining flaps of footwear, latching members including latches and lace receives sized to slidingly receive string portions of resilient laces and to restrict passage of retaining bodies of resilient laces, and latch couplers on second retaining flaps of footwear and configured to releasingly couple with lace couplers. In some examples, coupling latches to latch couplers tensions resilient laces and pulls first retaining flaps toward second retaining flaps. Some examples include first resilient laces and second resilient laces. Some examples including first resilient laces and second resilient laces include latching members including a first lace receiver sized to receive string portions of first resilient laces and second lace receivers sized to receive string portions of second resilient laces. Some examples are configured for adjusting the fit of apparel items defining eyelets.
Devices for adjusting the fit of footwear, the devices including a lace receiver configured to frictionally receive a resilient lace and to restrict passage of the resilient lace through the lace receiver, and a latch coupled to the lace receiver and configured to releasingly couple with the resilient lace, wherein coupling the latch to the resilient lace tensions the resilient lace and pulls a first retaining flap of the footwear toward a second retaining flap of the footwear. In some examples, the device is configured to adjust the fit of apparel.
