Abstract:

A reward processing method, system, apparatus, and computer program code is provided. Pursuant to some embodiments, the method includes analyzing transaction data associated with a plurality of payment transactions, each payment transaction including data identifying a payment account identifier, a transaction date, a transaction amount, and a merchant identifier, and identifying a first set of the payment transactions involving registered payment account identifiers. A second set of payment transactions involving a registered merchant identifier and a current offer are identified, and a reward amount earned for each of the second set is calculated. The reward amount is credited to each of the payment account identifiers in the second set.

Abstract:

An automatic toll collection system comprises and operates in conjunction with transponders which are provided for sale to the public in sealed packages and which are pre-approved for a predetermined amount of prepaid toll credit. When the transponders are purchased, they can be installed in any vehicle and are immediately ready for use. The kit in which the transponder is sold includes application forms and a return mailer which permit the purchaser thereof to convert the preestablished anonymous account to a regular prepaid toll account and to authorize the automatic replenishment of the account, thus enabling continued use of the purchased transponder beyond the pre-approved amount. The invention further comprises the process of frequent updating, e. g. several times daily, hourly, etc.

Abstract:

An apparatus and method for protecting data stored on a disk of a computer. The invention provides data access protection using a security software program, a hardware key, and a user password to permit access to the hard or floppy disk used in the computer. The program stores the hardware key code and password on the disk and encrypts disk partition data, and without using the correct hardware key and password, the partition data is unreadable. An encryption algorithm operates at all times and prevents unauthorized entry once the computer is turned off. A microcircuit key provides a unique stored code when energized, and a key connector is provided to use the key. The computer connector may also be adapted to permit coupling of an output device to the computer. Versions are disclosed for use with ports having bidirectional and unidirectional input and output lines.
