Abstract:

An SCP Location Register service (âSLR serviceâ) for redirecting certain DP2 and DP3 traffic to the appropriate SCP in a multi-SCP IN architecture is described. In a preferred embodiment, the SLR service of the present invention is implemented on one or more SCPs in an IN comprising multiple SCPs. In one aspect, the SLR service redirects DP3 Account Management Service queries to the correct SCP without prompting twice for the MSISDN of interest. In this aspect, the SLR prompts for and collects the MSISDN of the subscriber, maps the MSISDN to the SCP Access Code (âSACâ), prepends the SAC digits to the called number, and returns a CONNECT message to the querying MSC with the new called number in a Called Number field and the collected MSISDN in a Redirecting Party ID field. In another aspect, the SLR service redirects DP2 Origination Traffic to the correct SCP in the same manner, except that it need not prompt for or collect the MSISDN. The SLR service allows non-IN DP2 Origination traffic to pass through the network without further IN processing.

Abstract:

Providing mobile station time-based services in a cellular wireless communication network. A servicing entity initiates time-based services for the mobile station by querying a Home Location Register (HLR) serving the mobile station to return current mobile station time and time zone (TTZ) information including at least one of the mobile station's local time, local date, a time difference between Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and the local time. The HLR queries a mobile station serving VLR for the TTZ information. Upon receipt of a TTZ response message, the HLR transmits the TTZ information to the servicing entity. The TTZ information is filtered based on at least one mobile station defined rule to derive a mobile station time-based selective presence or availability. The servicing entity provides the time-based service based on the mobile station TTZ information and the mobile station time-based selective presence.

Abstract:

An SCP of a telecommunications network having a GMSC includes a network interface unit of the SCP that receives a CAMEL transaction from the GMSC. The SCP includes a processing unit, of the SCP, which controls the CAMEL transaction relinquished by the GMSC and decides whether or not to idle the CAMEL transaction during MTRR. A method for guiding a CAMEL transaction by an SCP during MTRR having the steps of receiving at a network interface unit of the SCP a CAMEL transaction from a GMSC. There is the step of deciding by a processing unit of the SCP which controls the CAMEL transaction relinquished by the GMSC whether or not to idle the CAMEL transaction during MTRR.

A method and apparatus in a communications system for providing call interception. A call is received at a switch in the communications system. Responsive to the call involving a service using identification numbers unknown to the communications system, a remote database associated with the service is queried, wherein the remote database contains a plurality of identification numbers. Abstract:

An example operation may include one or more of transmitting, via a virtual network, a message to a home network informing the home network that a home network subscriber device is roaming on the virtual network, activating, via the virtual network, a mobile subscription for the home network subscriber device on the virtual network, receiving, via the virtual network, a call for the home network subscriber device that is routed from the home network, routing the call from the virtual network to the home network subscriber device with the activated mobile subscription, wherein the routing further comprises executing, via the virtual network, value added services while routing the call from the virtual network to the home network subscriber device, generating, via the virtual network, a record of the executed value added services, and submitting, via the virtual network, the generated record to the home network.
