he always watchable Holly Hunter as Evelyn Riske, a teachers union official even more conflicted than Nona, but whose presence seems a tad extraneous to the story. Its clearly intended as a counterfoil to sleazebag union president baddie Arthur Gould (played with eely lan by Ned Eisenberg.)

Regardless of your opinion of unions, the teachers association in this film is melodramatic and cartoonish. Holly Hunter, as a union official, turns in a truly strange performance and Ned Eisenberg as the union president well, he's ridiculous.
