I was awarded the GE Smart Grid Fellowship in order to study important aspects of "smarter" electricity grids. My research focused on the environmental consequences of moving to an electricity grid with more flexible demand.
People, Prosperity, and Planet (P3) Award
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
A team of Clarkson students competed in the EPA P3 sustainability design competition in April 2010 and brought home funding for their Phase II project ($75,000). The students completed a feasibility study of a Controlled Environment High Rise Farm for cold regions. Their work included technical, economic, business development and environmental impact assessments.
