Abstract:

A method for enhancing growth hormone production and release, for appetite suppression, or both, in a subject in need thereof. The method comprises administering to the subject an effective amount of a first composition, wherein the first composition increases cholinergic tone and growth hormone synthesis, and the second composition inhibits somatostatin. The first composition may be a combination of an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor and Vitamin E D--succinate, whereas the second composition may be a salt of cysteamine and an alkali buffer, or may be pantothenic acid and an alkali metal salt. A two-part composition comprising the first and second compositions as also disclosed.

Described are compositions and methods for the treatment of acne. The method and compositions comprise an orally ingested composition containing thymic peptides, vitamins, and minerals. Zinc, pantothenic acid, magnesium, pyridoxine, vitamins A and D, riboflavin, and folic acid are found to be essential to the composition. Also described is a topical composition comprising pantothenic acid that, when used in conjunction with the oral composition, resulted in a better response than either the oral or topical composition alone.

Abstract:

The present invention generally relates to compositions and methods for dermal regeneration, both alone and in conjunction with LASER phototherapy. The method comprises the steps of applying an abrasive scrub to a selected area of a dermis to be treated to remove keratin from an epidermis; applying a keratin solvent system to the selected area of the dermis to be treated after the step of applying an abrasive scrub to further remove keratin from the epidermis; applying an acid chemical peel composition to the area of the dermis to be treated; and applying a thymic peptide based composition on the area of the dermis. A LASER phototherapy treatment may be substituted or used in conjunction with the acid chemical peel treatment. Additionally, microdermabrasion or epidermabrasion may be used prior to the chemical peel.
