QUALIFICATIONS Investigate standards of quality of healthcare for current clients for the health plan that involve practitioner care, providers, hospitals, and ancillary facilities as needed and presenting findings to the Medical Director and or the Quality Management Utilization Management Committee, Credentialing Committee and Peer View Committees. Provide solid, departmental clinical nursing support in an out-patient setting to the following units, in order of strengths: Women's Health, Urology, Medicine, Injections, Urgent Care, Chronic Pain, and Pediatrics In-patient nursing support in a highly-charged, delivery hospital environment in Labor and Delivery utilized as a Scrub Technician/Licensed Vocational Nurse in the Operating Room Surgery unit during scheduled and unplanned caesarian sections of more than 350+ child births per month Concrete experience in assisting physicians with complex procedures and examinations such as cystoscopies, bladder biopsies, Fluro-stent placments/removals, male/female sterilizations, prostate biopsies, complex uroflow testing, retrograde urethograms, Bacillus Calmette-Guerin treatments, and endometrial ablations Demonstrated ability to work independently to carry out nursing functions such as intravenous fluids, injections, catheterizations, self-catheter teaching, wound care, nebulizer treatments, urine testing, preoperative intake screening, stable recoveries, vital signs, EKGs, and immunizations Excellent knowledge of charting, documentation retrieval and record keeping in one of the largest, healthcare electronic medical record settings in the United States Able to easily adapt to change in an ever-changing, stressful work environment Thorough understanding of complex medical procedures
