A flat radiating cable in which conductive layers are not adhered to a dielectric core. Each of the conductive layers comprises a resilient material which resists kinking and is capable of longitudinal translation with respect to the core and/or the other conductive layer.

Abstract:
A multiple spiral tube assembly having a plurality of nested tubes, each of a different size and made of an insulating material. One tube is inserted within another tube to form a flexible, multiple-layer tube assembly. The tubular assembly is slipped over an electrical conductor to form a flexible, multi-layer, thick wall construction for coil lead insulation.

Abstract:
The present invention includes a method of lining a core slot that includes the steps of unwinding a tube, separating a portion of the tube, inserting the tube into a core slot, and expanding the tube to line the core slot. The present invention also includes a continuous piece of helically-wound tubing that is wound on a spool along with an apparatus and method used for creating the spool of tubing. The method includes the steps of helically wrapping a web of material in an overlapping relationship to form a helically-wound tube, advancing the tube in a longitudinal direction of the tube and winding the tube onto a spool while at least a portion of the tube is being formed by the step of helically-wrapping. Method variations in which one or more of the aforementioned steps may be eliminated as appropriate, can be used for many other uses.
A method and apparatus for loading a ribbon cable into a protective jacket. A leader with a first end and a second end is enclosed in the jacket. The second end of the leader is then attached to the cable, while the first end of the leader is used for pulling the leader through the jacket. The first end of the leader is then pulled through the jacket until a parallel wire section of the cable is exposed. The exposed wires are then cut to length resulting in the ribbon cable being loaded into the protective jacket and ready for installation.

Abstract:
A method of forming a flexible spiral-wound tube includes the steps of spiral wrapping at least two webs of material in an overlapping relationship about a mandrel to form a multi-ply tube and advancing the tube along the mandrel and off a reduced diameter portion of the mandrel at a forward end of the mandrel. Advancement of the tube along the mandrel includes rotating the tube as the tube longitudinally moves such that the tube advances in a spiral manner. The method further includes the step of retarding movement of the tube along the reduced diameter portion of the mandrel by providing frictional resistance between the tube and the mandrel to form folds or pleats in the tube so that the tube becomes extremely flexible. The flexible spiral-wound tube has a uniform pattern of generally diamond-shaped folds therein.

Abstract:
A protective cover for cable connectors and methods of fabricated the protective cover. The protective cover comprises a tube open at one end and substantially closed at the opposed end by an end cap. The end cap bears at least one opening formed therein. The protective cover has a foil outer layer, a soft felt inner layer, and an insulating fiberglass core between the outer and inner layers. The tube is made by overlappingly rolling and bonding a section of foil-backed fiberglass. The end cap may be separately made, made as part of the pattern for the tube, or may be formed by cutting pointed teeth into one end of the tube pattern and bonding them generally perpendicularly to the length of the tube.

The Polk County Sheriffs Office on Friday released audio from the 911 call in which Winter Haven resident Michael Lester can be heard complaining that he is drunk, lost and needs to be pulled over.
"I really like it because I filled up this morning in New York state for like...$2.85 a gallon. And, so, now we are in the middle of Virginia here filling up for almost a full dollar less. So, that's pretty cool," said driver Michael Lester.
