Abstract:
Disclosed is a network hardening mechanism. The mechanism: generates a dependency graph from a multitude of exploits; constructs a goal conditions expression which may then be used to determine set(s) of safe network configurations. A subset of these safe network configuration sets may then be selected for implementation using hardening costs as a criterion.

Abstract:
Disclosed is a system for modeling, analyzing, and responding to network attacks. Machines are mapped to components, components are mapped to vulnerabilities, and vulnerabilities are mapped to exploits. Each of the exploits includes at least one precondition mapped to at least one postcondition. An attack graph which defines inter-exploit distances is generated using at least one of the exploits. The attack graph is aggregated. At least one hardening option is determined using the aggregated attack graph. Hardening options include applying at least one corrective measure to at least one initial condition, where the initial condition is the initial state of a precondition.

Abstract:
Featured are devices for compression of target tissue while magnetic resonance imaging the target tissue and methods and systems related thereto. The method includes disposing target tissue between the fixed surface and the moveable member of a compression device and compressing the target tissue between the fixed surface and the moveable member. The method also includes acquiring one or more, more specifically a plurality, of sequences of image data of the compressed target tissue using an MRI imaging technique (MRI). In particular embodiments, the MRI technique is a SENC MRI technique, where tissue encoding is done prior to compressing the tissue and acquiring includes adding a gradient moment in the slice-selection direction to cause demodulation with a specific frequency. In further embodiments, the sequences of image data are acquired one of during successive periodic compressions of the tissue or successive periodic relaxation of the tissues.

Methods And Systems For Registration Of Radiological Images
Featured are methods and systems for reslicing-based nonrigid registration of multiparametric and modality images or objects. In such registration methods, global motion is modeled by multiple affine transforms (rigid), while local motion and slices matching is estimated using non-uniform radial reslicing of RTV to search for best match between reference volume slices and resampled target volume (RTV), orthogonally re-sliced to higher spatial resolution compared to the spatial resolution of the reference volume. The reference and target volumes can be in any plane and the method presented in this invention transfers them to target plane which can be any of axial, coronal, or sagittal and there is no need for the original and target scanning planes to be the same.
Multiparametric Non-Linear Dimension Reduction Methods And Systems Related Thereto
Featured are methods and systems to multiparametric non-linear dimension reduction (NLDR) methods for segmentation and classification of radiological images. Such methods for segmentation and classification of radiological images, includes pre-processing of acquired image data; and reconstructing the acquired image data using a non-linear dimension reduction technique so as to yield an embedded image representing all of the acquired, where the acquired image data comprises a plurality of different sets of image data of the same region of interest. Such NLDR methods and systems are particularly suitable for the ability to combine multiple input images into a single unit for increased specificity of diagnosis.
Digital Fixed Station Interface (Dfsi) Internet Protocol To Binary Serial Data Protocol Converter
A system and method are provided for converting radio communication signals between a Digital Fixed Station Interface (DFSI) Internet Protocol (IP) APCO P25 standard communications format and binary serial data protocol standard communications. Received serial binary data may be evaluated, separated into control information and data payloads, and converted to DFSI IP standard data. Incoming and outgoing data communications are processed by implementing decisions about how to handle the information contained in, or to be contained in, the incoming and outgoing data communications based upon the substance, or overarching format, of the data contained in individual data packets, or serial bit streams. In embodiments, decisions and determinations regarding the information include determining that the information is damaged or corrupted and therefore not available to be converted. The data may be discarded based on such a determination.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to an implantable knee joint prosthesis which is designed to replace the engaging surfaces of the femur and tibia of a dysfunctional human knee joint. In its most general form, the invention comprises an implantable knee joint prosthesis having a tibial stem portion, a tibial tray portion, an interchangeable modular articulating surface member which is removably attached to the tibial tray portion, and a femoral portion adapted to cooperatively bear upon the articulating surface. The invention also features a dual locking mechanism which attaches the articulating surface to the tibial tray portion by means of a locking lip and flange arrangement together with a locking screw which fits into the tibial stem portion.

Zika fears not changing South Floridians' sex habits
The number of in-vitro fertilizations performed at the Fertility & IVF Center of Miami has been slightly lower this year over last, said medical director Dr. Michael Jacobs, although he is not sure that is due to Zika. A few couples, before Miami-Dade County came under the CDC advisory, earlier
