Abstract:

A shaft assembly of a lens coating system includes a first portion reversibly engagable with a second portion. A reciprocating drive disengages and subsequently re-engages the shaft first and second portions. A lens holder is coupled to an arm, which is coupled to the shaft first portion. Another drive, coupled to the shaft second portion, rotates the arm about an axis of the shaft assembly, when the first and second portions are engaged, such that the lens holder travels along a pathway surrounding the assembly. The system includes a plurality of stations, each station having an opening along the pathway, so that the rotating drive may transfer the lens holder into proximity with each station, when the shaft first and second portions are engaged, and the reciprocating drive may transfer a lens, held by the lens holder, into and out from each station through the opening thereof.

Abstract:

In a front wheel drive vehicle, a rear suspension system is provided for non-driven non-steered rear wheels. A twist beam axle extends along a transverse horizontal line between the rear wheels, and a pair of coil springs extend along respective spaced parallel axes intersecting the noted transverse horizontal line. A stabilizer torsion bar extends along the transverse horizontal line of the twist beam axle. Each spring seat assembly is attached between its respective wheel spindle mounting plate and the twist beam axle such that the wheel spindle mounting plate is spaced outwardly of the twist beam axle. The stabilizer torsion bar extends between the spring seat assemblies and is attached to each at a point spaced inwardly of the respective wheel spindle mounting plate and inboard of the respective coil spring. Upper and lower mating shell structure is provided for the spring seat assemblies, including an upper surface with an opening therein through which the respective coil spring extends. The mating shells have overlapped surfaces providing sections of increased thickness stock.

Abstract:

A wireless location assisted zone guidance system incorporates dynamically variable intervals between sequential position requests. Variables used to influence the duration of a current interval between sequential position requests include: location within a current zone; displacement rate within a zone; and output from sensors such as secondary low power location sensors, inertial sensors, and biometric sensors. Preferably, the sensors are not being used to try to determine precise position, but instead to indicate a degree of uncertainty in the current position. When this degree of uncertainty is sufficient to merit added processing and associated energy consumption, a new wireless location determination will be made.

The real-time determination of the guidance zone is made by first determining present location using GPS or other wireless location signals. The corresponding table location is identified by calculating latitudinal and longitudinal offsets from a reference point, and using these offsets as the two indices to access a double-indexed array. The value retrieved from the indexed array identifies the guidance zone. Each guidance zone has an associated set of characteristics used to provide behavioral guidance to an animal.
