An improved aerial top, or yo-yo, having a stepped axle and a varied diameter tether is disclosed. The stepped axle is coupled at distal ends to yo-yo body halves and maintains the yo-yo body halves in a space apart arrangement and defines a channel between the body halves. The stepped axle has distal end portions having relatively large diameters and a central axle portion having a relatively smaller diameter. The stepped axle may be provided with intermediate axle portions having intermediate sized diameters. Sidewalls separate the axle portions and the sidewalls may be orthogonal to surfaces of the axle portions, or oblique thereto. A tether is wound onto the stepped axle and a user uses a throwing motion while the tether is connected to the users finger, to throw the yo-yo so that the yo-yo unwinds the tether. The tether is a cord having a varied diameter along its length. The cord may have distinct portions and each portion has a constant diameter along its length, or the cord may have a tapered diameter.
A toy water shooter may be worn in a concealed manner on a users forearm, beneath clothing. The shooter includes a pressurizable bladder that may be filled with water and which is plumbed to a trigger-operated nozzle mounted on a wrist support. The bladder may be pressurized by pumping an air bulb, which fluidly communicates with the bladder. The trigger is mounted in a position that allows it to be operated by thumb movement. In an alternate embodiment, the bladder may be worn around the users waist.
Displaying Information To A Selected Player In A Multi-Player Game On A Commonly Viewed Display Device
A method and system for presenting specific information to a selected player in a multi-player game on a commonly viewed display device is presented. The method and system comprise receiving a request for information. Typically, this request comes from the selected player. Subsequently, input identifying one of a plurality of display locations for displaying the requested information on the commonly viewed display device is obtained. Thereafter, a plurality of responses, including the requested information, are output for display on the display device, wherein the requested information is output for display at the identified display location.

Abstract:
An educational/entertainment apparatus generally includes a controller () for use with a multimedia device (). The controller includes a platform () for receiving a disc (), the disc including a plurality of graphical images on at least one surface that correspond to a plurality of multimedia options, the disc also including an identifier that identifies the disc. The controller further includes a reader () for reading the identity of the disc, a selector () for a user to select one of the plurality of graphical images, and a controller/transmitter () for determining the selected graphical image and transmitting a multimedia control signal () that contains information that identifies the selected graphical image.
A superior yo-yo toy exhibiting characteristics of a lengthened spinning time for performing tricks while retaining characteristic of returning to the hand of the operator when desired; and automatic return to the operator when the yo-yo rotational rate has slowed to a predetermined rate. The yo-yo string is attached to a free-spinning bearing surrounding the axle, the bearing operably connected to a centrifugal actuated spring loaded clutch mechanism so that when the yo-yo rotational rate slows to a pre-determined rate, the clutch mechanism engages the bearing, coupling the free-spinning bearing to the yo-yo and causing the yo-yo to return to the operator.
Gaming System Using Gaming Surface Having Computer Readable Indicia And Method Of Using Same
A gaming system is provided having a plurality of playing positions, with each playing position having both a human readable and a machine readable indicia identifying the playing position. The gaming system also includes playing pieces, which also have both human and machine readable indicia. The gaming system uses a smart phone with an optical scanner to facilitate interaction with the gaming surface and pieces.
