Smith was also included in the New Zealand squad for the Football at the 2008 Summer Olympics – Women's tournament where they drew with Japan women's national football team ( 2–2 ) before losing to Norway women's national football team ( 0–1 ) and Brazil women's national football team ( 0–4 ).
She appeared in a group game for New Zealand at the 2006 FIFA U-20 Women's World Championship finals, and again represented the young ferns at the 2008 FIFA U-20 Women's World Championship in Chile.
