A bar soap holder and dispenser is disclosed. In a particular embodiment, the device includes a base having an upper portion and a lower portion, where the upper portion includes a rear wall and a pair of side walls. The device also includes an open front side of the upper portion adapted to receive and store a plurality of bars of soap stacked therein and a cover adapted to pivotally swing from a closed to an open position over the upper portion of the device, where the cover encloses the front side of the upper portion when in the closed position. A push button is disposed within the lower portion of the base and adapted to dispense a bar of soap outwards from the lower portion of the base when the push button is pushed.
A soap sponge is disclosed. In a particular embodiment, the sponge includes a top layer and a bottom layer of a porous polyurethane foam material, where the layers each further include a netted mesh. The sponge also includes a seam securing together a continuous portion of a periphery of the top layer and the bottom layer so that an interior open volume between the top layer and the bottom layer is defined by the seam. A mouth is disposed at an edge of the sponge and is adapted to access the interior open volume. The sponge further includes an elastic band secured to the mouth of the sponge, where the elastic band is adapted to maintain the mouth in closed position and to stretch open only upon the application of force to place a bar of soap inside.
An emergency detection and alert system includes an emergency server configured to provide an alert to each person on an alert feed list when an emergency event is detected. In addition, the system includes a client device to communicate with the emergency server, and a microphone for detecting audible signals. In addition, the system includes an emergency validator comprising a warning database and a processor. The processor in configured to receive at least one audible signal from the client device, compare the at least one audible signal to the warning database, the warning database having a plurality of warning signals stored therein, and transmit a trigger signal to the emergency server when the at least one audible signal is a match to at least one warning signal of the plurality of warning signals to indicate an emergency event has been detected.
