A hand tool is provided for the removal of roofing shingles. The tool has a handle and a first blade extending from the handle. The first blade comprises a metal plate having a top surface and a bottom surface, and a leading edge facing away from the handle and a trailing edge adjacent the handle. The first blade has a plurality of teeth exending outwardly from the leading edge of the first blade. A second blade is attached to the first blade on the top surface of the first blade. The second blade is movable from a first position remote from the teeth of said first blade to a second position in which a portion of said second blade extends outwardly beyond the teeth of said first blade.
An elongated handle has a grip at a first end thereof, and a head at a second end thereof. The head comprises a plate having a leading edge and a trailing edge. Teeth for ripping building material are provided at the leading edge. The plate is planar except for the teeth which have tapered ends. A wedge-shaped wing is disposed along each of the side edges, extending outwardly from a second side of the plate and forming a perpendicular angle with the plate. A fulcrum for leverage is formed by ears which extend through a plane of the plate, and which connect to the handle.
Soil Tilling Implement With Novel Tine And Footrest Structure
A dirt-loosening tool comprising of an elongated handle having a head at one end that has multiple prongs in separate planes that can be easily pushed into soil. A footrest deposed between the separate planes doubles as a leveraged fulcrum. This allows for effortless cultivation of compacted dirt.
A spill-proof lid for use with a container for liquids includes a liquid chamber that has an outlet opening above and inlet opening below the plane of the lid. The chamber is constructed so that, as it extends from inlet to outlet, it travels from the outlet opening closely to the side of the cup to the bottom where it then crosses the bottom, up the other side and back to the inlet opening. The periphery of the lid is constructed to sealingly engage the upper edge of the container. Preferably, the outlet end of the liquid chamber has a mouthpiece formed thereon for ease of drinking.
