Sister of the Boy Who Died in the Boston Bombing Released From Hospital
Jane Richard, whose 8-year-old brother Martin was killed, lost her lower left leg in the blast. She spent 39 days in the intensive-care unit and underwent 12 surgeries, the family said in a statement released by spokesman Larry Marchese.
The family has shared this because it is progress, said Larry Marchese, the familys spokesman and a college roommate of Bill Richards. They greet this with guarded optimism. The Richards will breathe easier when they can bring Jane home.

Bittersweet update from family devastated by marathon bombing
Their third child, Henry, 11, has returned to fifth grade, which gives him a needed sense of routine and normalcy, the family said. A family spokesman, Larry Marchese, said that Henry, through what could be a miracle, suffered not a scratch.
"Just the wrong label put on the package," said Larry Marchese, a spokesman for the company, who said that despite the error with the rear label, the front of the product was correctly marked as Rip Roarin' Crab Soup.
