Kathy L. Martin, currently serving as Past President of the West Virginia Association of Realtors, has been the Broker/Owner of KLM Properties, Inc., since its’ inception in May of 1994. She started her real estate career first as an appraiser then as a licensed sales associate in 1985 and an associate broker in 1989. She is a licensed broker in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Her designations include Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Accredited Buyer Representative Manager (ABRM), Certified Residential Broker (CRB), Graduate of REALTORS Institute (GRI), and she is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser WV #140. Kathy received her Undergraduate Degree from Fairmont State College. As a member of the Morgantown Board of REALTORS, State and National Association of REALTORS, she served on numerous committees and, in some cases, as an officer. Kathy was awarded the coveted REALTOR OF THE YEAR award in 2005 both by her local Morgantown Board of REALTORS peers and by the West Virginia Association of REALTORS. She serves the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) as Chair for REALTOR Political Involvement Council (RPIC) and as a Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) for NAR. Kathy serves her local community by volunteering with the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties where she has served as past chair of the Campaign, Executive Committee and Board of Directors, member of Business & Professional Women’s Association, member of the Morgantown Chamber of Commerce where she serves on the Executive Committee and Chairs the Government Affairs Council. Kathy received the Morgantown Chamber of Commerce 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Kathy & her husband, Pat, enjoy riding their Harley Davidson motorcycles. They have two grown children, Jason and Shelly, and are the proud grandparents of John Patrick and new grandson Jackson.
