Abstract:

A method in one embodiment includes establishing communication between a master node and several federated nodes, wherein each node is an instance of a distributed application; initializing the distributed application, wherein the initialization includes the federated nodes processing data local thereto and providing information about the local data to the master node; and after initialization, at run time, receiving data requests, wherein the master node services the data requests by routing the requests to the nodes. A method in another embodiment includes establishing communication between a master node and several federated nodes, wherein each node is an instance of a distributed application; initializing the distributed application, including gathering information about local data associated with each of the federated nodes, the information including associations of local data across multiple federated nodes; and after initialization, at run time, receiving data requests, wherein the master node services the data requests by routing the requests to one of the nodes believed to have the requested data.

Abstract:

A low dispersion discarding sabot projectile comprising: a full caliber cylindrically shaped pusher having a cup-like forward facing recess concentric with the external surface of said pusher, a circumferential groove for receiving a rotation ring, said groove being positioned in approximate radial register with a rear surface of said recess, and a concave recess in the rear end face of said pusher; a cylindrically shaped subcaliber projectile having: (i) a rear portion adapted to be inserted into said forward facing recess of said pusher, (ii) a main body portion projecting forward from said pusher, and (iii) a nose portion; and a discarding sabot of lightweight frangible material disposed around said main body portion, the forward portion of said sabot being spaced radially away from the external surface of said nose portion.

A tubeless cased telescoped ammunition is disclosed. The ammunition is ignited and a sequenced ignition is achieved. The ammunition includes a sealing coating for delaying ignition of the main propellant. A sealing ring may also be used to sequence and delay the ignition.

Abstract:

This invention comprises a puller sabot characterized by a forward stabilizing disk, a rear stabilizing disk and a mid section. The obturator is located on the forward stabilizing disk. The rear stabilizing disk has a plurality of openings extending longitudinally through the rear stabilizing disk such that propellant may be located forward of the rear disk and ignited and vented. The sabot surrounds the peripheral mid section of a long rod fin stabilized projectile and guides the sub-projectile through a rifled barrel.

Abstract:

A cased telescoped ammunition with a perforated forward control tube in which the main propellant gas and flame front ignites a propellant surrounding the tube through the perforations. Seals form annular segments of consolidated propellant surrounding the tube separated from each other and the main propellant charge. These seals prevent gas and flame front propagation from the main or rearmost charge of propellant, except through the control tube perforations or ports which have been passed by the obturator.
