Abstract:
A support for an ambulatory patient has a hub member with a mounting device for mounting the hub member on a vertical IV pole of a wheeled IV stand. An arcuate hand grip member is secured to the hub member and radially spaced from the mounting device for gripping by an ambulatory patient receiving medication from an IV bottle on the stand. A downwardly facing, U-shaped channel is provided on the hub member for allowing the support to be hooked onto the rim of the head or foot board of a bed or gurney.
An accessory carrier for carrying oxygen bottles, intraveneous containers and other medical accessories includes a lower vertically extending post for detachable attachment to the back of a wheelchair in a position to permit folding of the chair and including an upper elongated vertically extending post detachably connectable to the first post for supporting additional accessories. The lower post includes a slip bracket at the lower end thereof for attachment to a trailing kick tube of a wheelchair and includes a clamp sleeve for retaining the slip bracket in place on the tube. The tube clamp and the upper post may include either a thumb screw for holding it in place or a screw requiring a special tool, such as an Allen Wrench, to discourage theft.

Abstract:
A mobile support stand for hospital equipment has a plurality of poles projecting upwardly from a wheeled base with IV hangers at the upper ends of the poles. The base has a span sufficient to provide the needed stability against tipping, with legs projecting outwardly from the base with wheels at their free ends for supporting and transporting the stand. At least one of the legs is retractable between a fully extended, operative position and a retracted, non-extended position. A securing mechanism allows the stand to be secured to existing mounting holes on a hospital bed with the retractable leg facing outward, and once the stand is secured to the bed the retractable leg is retracted out of the way so that the floor space taken up by the bed and attached stand is minimized.
A support stand suitable for use in medical or other applications, which can be shipped or stored in a flat configuration. A support base is equipped with several rollers, located generally around the outside perimeter, which serve to support the assembled medical support stand. The depressed inside portion of the base is equipped with a permanently attached base post having a Morse taper or the like. A support post can be quickly assembled to the base with a single bolt by slipping the support post over the base post and tightening the bolt from beneath the base. The use of a Morse taper, a depressed inner portion in the base, and a female support post configuration are improvements that ensure the necessary strength, rigidity, stability and hygiene necessary for a support stand intended for use in medical applications.

Abstract:
An apparatus for installing a cubicle curtain or IV track on a dropped ceiling constructed with standard tee-bars and lay-in tile includes a sliding channel member for sliding engagement over the track, and a clip device secured to the upper wall of the channel member for engaging over a ceiling tee-bar. The channel member can slide along the track and the clip device can slide along the tee-bar for positioning the track, before fastening the track in position. The clip device in one version includes a vertical support for direct attachment to ceiling or roof wires, where additional support is necessary.
A hanger assembly for suspending an article or articles such as a curtain or other flexible sheet material below a support rail comprises a series of trolleys for travelling engagement with the support rail, each trolley including a downwardly depending hanger member for suspending the article. Collapsible links are provided between successive trolleys in the assembly to allow them to travel relatively easily around any corners or bends in the support rail.
