Abstract:

Methods and systems are provided for storing directory assistance information in a subscriber's electronic address book for future use. If a directory number associated with the desired called party is not in the subscriber's address book, a voice services node initiates a call to a directory assistance service to obtain a directory number for the called party. If the subscriber would like to have the obtained number added to the subscriber's address book, the directory number, name and address associated with the requested directory assistance may be added to the subscriber's address book for future use by the subscriber when the subscriber needs the directory number associated with the called party.

Methods and systems are provided for utilizing calling party personal calendaring and scheduling information to facilitate enhanced directory assistance information. After obtaining a directory number for a called party from a subscriber's address book or from a directory assistance service, a voice services node queries a personal scheduling calendar of the called party to determine whether the called party is currently located at a location other than the location accessible by the obtained directory number. If so, the voice services node may obtain an alternate directory number for the current location of the called party, and the voice services node may automatically place a call to the called party via the alternate directory number or provide the alternate directory number to the subscriber.

Abstract:

A therapeutic device and process utilizes an array of members in which each member is both magnetically coupled to a magnetic source and electrically coupled to a source of electrical signals. In the preferred embodiment, the members include both ferromagnetic members and diamagnetic members. The members are controlled to enable variations of electromagnetic stimuli by selectively adjusting applied electrical signals to the two types of members. The ferromagnetic members and the diamagnetic members may be placed in alternating rows. The rows may be individually controlled with respect to applying alternative electrical signals, as well as with respect to enablement and disablement. A thermal module may be included in order to also apply thermal stimulus. Some embodiments include the capability to monitor effects of the stimuli to the skin of the person.

Abstract:

Methods and systems provide for automatic outbound information notification to a subscriber based on a subscriber's communications customer profile. A subscriber may select one or more events for which the subscriber desires notification from an outbound notification events options list. When an event is triggered for which the subscriber has requested notification, for example a traffic information report at a selected notification time, a voice services node queries a customer profile database to determine what information must be obtained and transmitted to the subscriber based on the subscriber's selected notification options and frequencies. The voice services node calls the subscriber at the subscriber's telephone directory number and plays the prescribed event information to the subscriber.
