Abstract:

The present invention relates to a cosmetic or pharmaceutical composition for topical application to the keratinous surface which comprises a alignment agent for promoting the orderly arrangement of a feature enhancing component for enhancing the lengthening of the eyelashes and/or the covering of wrinkles on the skin surface. The feature enhancing component can be a fibrous component and can include a variety of types of fibers including wicking fibers, evaporating fibers, or a combination of both. The feature enhancing component can also be inert fillers such as platelet materials.

Abstract:

The present invention provides a cosmetic composition having a gloss of at least about 85 gloss units (gu), as well as sufficient shape retention properties for forming a stick-shaped cosmetic product. Specifically, the cosmetic composition contains: (a) a high viscosity oil component; (b) a medium viscosity oil component; (c) a low viscosity oil component; and (d) an oily gelling agent comprising an ester of glycerol or polyglycerin with an aliphatic or hydroxyl aliphatic acid and a dibasic acid. A stick-shaped cosmetic product formed by the cosmetic composition of the present invention exhibits a high-shine that is not available in conventional stick-shaped cosmetic products and yet retains the high make-up coverage typically provided by conventional stick-shaped cosmetic products.

The present invention relates to a re-applicable mascara composition containing a unique combination of a chemically modified wax and a polymeric film former including a copolymer of vinylpyrrolidone and aminoacrylates. The mascara composition of the present invention can be readily re-applied to eyelashes hours after the initial application to increase the lash volume, without the discomfort and clumping commonly caused by attempts to re-apply mascara to already-coated eyelashes.

Abstract:

A lipstick, lip gloss and lip liner are arranged in a single bullet-shaped body. The lip gloss forms a core of the body and the lipstick forms a sheath that coaxially envelopes the lip gloss core. The body has an upper lip liner part that extends along a first side, and a lower lip liner part that extends along the a second side of the body opposite the first side. The cross-section of the body is a pendant shape. An upper half of the pendant shape is wedge-shaped and defines an apex. A lower half of the pendant shape is semi-circular shaped and defines a rounded portion. The upper lip liner part is positioned in the apex and the lower lip liner part is positioned in a center of the rounded portion.

Abstract:

The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing a unique polymer blend, which includes: (a) a first polymeric film-former having a first glass transition temperature ranging from about −20 C. to about 0 C. ; (b) a second polymeric film-former having a second glass transition temperature that is at least 50 C. higher than the first glass transition temperature; and (c) a third cross-linked polymeric film-former. The cosmetic composition of the present invention can be applied to human skin or keratinous fibers for forming a film thereon with exceptionally long wearability, reduced flaking and smudge properties, and good removability by warm water.
