Description:
Jeremiah David LoRusso is the head of the LoRusso Team at Douglas Elliman's 575 Madison Avenue office. Grounded in real estate from when he was just a child, Jeremiah had the opportunity to learn from his father, who designed and built custom homes in Long Island. Carpentry and design came as second nature to him, but Jeremiah yearned to pursue the business side of the craft. He spent his teens to mid-twenties in California, ultimately earning his Bachelors of Science in Business Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara. There he also earned a minor in Linguistics, and improved his Spanish and Italian speaking skills. Jeremiah's approach to real estate is simple: listen, listen, and then talk. He says, "I need my clients to be receptive to what and where the market is. The best way I can help is to educate, advise, and create an actionable path. And the most effective way I can do that is to listen to one's true desires and needs. Real estate is a dialogue. I want all parties to be satisfied- for there to be a meeting of the minds." He also feels strongly that a comfortable living space is something we all need: "It is ultimately both personal and practical. It is the sanctuary we go to at the end of the day. It is where all the successes outside the house are both born and validated. Having the right space enriches one's life immensely." Before coming to Douglas Elliman, Jeremiah was previously a Managing Director of a boutique Manhattan real estate firm, New York Living Solutions. He was responsible for talent acquisition and training - increasing the number of agents two- and threefold in the three offices he oversaw. For nearly seven years, Jeremiah and his teams have represented renters, buyers, and sellers in the Manhattan real estate market. Also beneficial is his love for numbers and analytics, two important aspects he feels are lacking in residential real estate. And to top it off, Jeremiah loves the challenges that come from working with clients from out of town, which may be why he has had such success working with clientele from Europe, Asia, and South America. According to one of his team members, one important quality that differentiates Jeremiah from other brokers is that he places his clients' best interests as a number one priority, never pressuring them to spend more than they are comfortable with. New York real estate is infamous for being a shark-like business, but Jeremiah manages to stay above the chaos and maintain an optimistic outlook, while exuding positivity to all those around him. Jeremiah is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, and a resident of Manhattan's growing Financial District. When not meeting with clients, he is exploring Europe or South America, learning new skills, or cooking at home with friends.
