The Fundamentals of Physical Sciences (FPS) Program, is program designed to prepare students for college-level work while they are still in high school. Admission requirements at the top universities seek students who have taken challenging science, mathematics and computer courses.
The Fundamentals of Physical Sciences Program is divided into two main Academic Thematic groups : Chemistry & Physics
Students will also receive instruction in higher-level problem-solving strategies, computer applications, advanced mathematics and communications through classroom discussions, lectures, laboratory experiments, demonstrations, and projects.
Academic courses will incorporate modules on standardized test preparation for the High School Proficiency Assessment (HSPA) exam and Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT).

The NJIT Pre-college Information Technology on Engineering Academy (ITEA)
Information Technology in Engineering Academy is a six-week class that introduces post-ninth students to information technology and its applications to engineering. Students study technical graphics and technical drawing. PSAT test preparation and the possibility of earning one college credit are included.

The Women in Engineering and Technology Initiative-FEMME Program is a four-week program designed to provide post-fourth through tenth-grade girls with opportunities to enhance their mathematics and science academic achievement, develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills, promote their self-esteem and self-confidence, and encourage them to choose careers in scientific and technological fields in which women are traditionally underrepresented.
