  • Assignee:
Oracle International Corporation - Redwood Shores CA
  • International Classification:
    G06F 11/00
  • US Classification:
    714 47, 714 25, 714 38
  • Abstract:
An instrumentation service is described that uses dye injection and filtering in a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) application server environment. The instrumentation service can provide a flexible mechanism for selectively adding diagnostic code to the SIP application server and the various applications running on it. It can allow flexible selection of locations in the server and application code, at which instrumentation code can be added. The process of adding diagnostic code can be deferred to the time of running the server at the deployment site. The instrumentation service further allows flexible selection of diagnostic actions, which can be executed at selected locations. In various embodiments, the execution of diagnostic code can be dynamically enabled or disabled while the server is running. Also, the behavior of diagnostic code executed at such locations can be dynamically changed while the server is running.
  • Hitless Application Upgrade For Sip Server Architecture

    view source
  • US Patent:
    8171466, May 1, 2012
  • Filed:
    May 15, 2007
  • Appl. No.:
    11/748767
  • Inventors:
Anno R. Langen - Berkeley CA, US
Rao Nasir Khan - Fremont CA, US
Jaroslaw Wilkiewicz - Menlo Park CA, US
  • Assignee:
Oracle International Corporation - Redwood Shores CA
  • International Classification:
    G06F 9/44
  • US Classification:
    717170, 717168, 717173
  • Abstract:
The Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) server can be comprised of an engine tier and a state tier distributed on a cluster network environment. The engine tier can send, receive and process various messages. The state tier can maintain in-memory state data associated with various SIP sessions. Various applications can be running on the engine tier. A new version of an application can be deployed alongside the old version, simultaneously running on the SIP server. Incoming messages for new calls can be directed by the SIP server to the new version of the application. Incoming messages for previously established calls can be directed to the old version of the application. Once the old version is finished processing calls, it can be undeployed.

  • US Classification:
    709230, 719311, 719313, 719315, 709220
  • Abstract:
A SIP server can be distributed over a cluster network and handle the processing of various SIP communications. A Diameter protocol web application can be deployed on the engine tier of the SIP server for enabling communication between the SIP server and an HSS. A profile service API can be provided that allows applications running on the SIP server to access user profile data stored on the HSS. The applications can also be allowed to subscribe to notifications about changes to the user profile data on the HSS. An Sh interface provider can be deployed on the SIP server for generating and responding to Diameter command codes. SIP servlets can access the user profile data in the form of an XML document.
  • Universal Client Engine For A Client-Server Environment

    view source
  • US Patent:
    H18538, Jun 6, 2000
  • Filed:
    Feb 19, 1998
  • Appl. No.:
    9/026808
  • Inventors:
Jaroslaw J. Wilkiewicz - Collierville TN
  • Assignee:
    DSC/Celcore, Inc. - Plano TX
  • International Classification:
    G06F 1314
  • US Classification:
    709203
  • Abstract:
A system, and associated methods, for generating a user interface with respect to a server are provided. The system includes a client engine, which is connected by a real or virtual connection to an interface repository, an object interface module, a server interface module, and a user interface device. The client engine has the capability to transmit a request for an object reference to the object interface module, and to receive an object reference from the object interface module. The client engine also has the capability to request object type definition data from the interface repository based on the object reference and to receive the object type definition data from the interface repository. A user may then invoke a selected method on the server and receive a response generated by the server. The client engine can generate a display on a user interface connected to the client engine based on the object type definition data.
  • Embeddable Media Upload Object

  • US Patent:
    20150135076, May 14, 2015
  • Filed:
    Jun 25, 2013
  • Appl. No.:
    13/926998
  • Inventors:
    - Mountain View CA, US
Jaroslaw Jerzy Wilkiewicz - Menlo Park CA, US
Eric P. Lundberg - Zurich, SZ
Jeffrey Alan Posnick - New York NY, US
  • International Classification:
    H04L 29/06
  • US Classification:
    715719
  • Abstract:
A user device's browser receives a page from a publishing system and presents content of the page within a window. Instructions from a media hosting system cause a frame to be created within the window. The frame includes a media upload object from a media hosting system that has a different address domain that the publishing system. A communication channel is established between the window and the frame to allow messages to be exchanged. The media upload object allows a user to create a media item and upload it to the media hosting system. Throughout the process of creating and uploading the media item, the media upload object transmits one or more messages to the page via the communication channel. Based on the messages, the page responds to what is occurring within the frame.
