The present disclosure is directed to a power plant, and especially two or more such power plants connected together. The power plant especially features a piston connected with a reciprocated but non-rotating piston rod which connects with a pump piston at the opposite end. Power is generated by the power piston and imparted through straight reciprocating motion to the pumped piston. Two or more of these power plants are operated together by connecting them together through a connective link so that operation of one times the operation of two or more units slaved to the first. Synchronized operation is obtained.

Abstract:
An early high-strength mineral polymer composition is formed of a polysialatesiloxo material obtained by adding a reactant mixture consisting of alumino-silicate oxide (Si. sub. 2 O. sub. 5,Al. sub. 2 O. sub. 2) with the aluminum cation in a four-fold coordination, strong alkalis such as sodium hydroxide and/or potassium hydroxide, water, and a sodium/potassium polysilicate solution; and from 15 to 26 parts, by weight, based upon the reactive mixture of the polysialatesiloxo polymer of ground blast furnace slag. Sufficient hardening for demolding is obtained in about 1 hour with this composition.

Abstract:
A dry, mineral binder composition is disclosed having from 6 to 25 parts by weight metakaolin, 3 to 30 parts by weight dry potassium hydroxide, 0 to 18 parts by weight slag, 0 to 60 parts by weight of a material selected from the class consisting of fly ash, calcined shale, and calcined clay, and from 1 to 150 parts, by weight, of a finely divided silica, preferably an amorphous silica. The binder is particularly useful in combination with Portland cement for forming concrete compositions.

Abstract:
A hydraulic cement is formed from a Class C fly ash, an alkali metal activator, and citric acid. Mortar and concrete compositions can be prepared with this hydraulic cement. The cement is particularly useful in producing mortar and concrete compositions that achieve high strengths in a short time, in particular, a mortar having a strength of at least 2500 psi in 24 hours, when cured at room temperature.
Early High-Strength Portland Cement And Method Of Manufacture
A cement with rapid strength gain having normal setting and volume change characteristics and its method of manufacture are disclosed. The cement has substantially all particles over 20 microns removed which advantageously results in higher early strength than normal portland cements. This is important in the prestress and precast concrete industry, and early high-strength cement is desirable for other uses such as patching or resurfacing highways and airport runways or in operations where early form removal is desired. The use of chlorides or other accelerators is unnecessary to obtain early high strengths; although, these and plasticizers can be used if desired.

Abstract:
A binder composition for Portland cement is disclosed, said composition including 100 parts by weight metakaolin and, based upon said metakaolin, from 20 to 70 parts by weight slag; from 85 to 130 parts by weight of at least 1 material selected from the class consisting of fly ash, calcined shale, and calcined clay; from 70 to 215 parts by weight finely divided silica, preferably amorphous silica; and from 55 to 145 parts by weight of a mixture of potassium silicate and potassium hydroxide, wherein at least 55 parts by weight is potassium silicate. The binder composition can be mixed with Portland cement or with a combination of Portland cement and fly ash to provide a composition curable to a material having a high early strength and a high ultimate strength.

Abstract:
A blended hydraulic cement composition, curable at low temperatures, including temperatures below the freezing point of water, is composed of portland cement, slag, pozzolans including metakaolin, and admixtures including potassium carbonate and water reducing compositions. The cement is particularly useful in producing concrete compositions which achieve high strength in a brief period of time, and continue curing at ambient temperatures, and temperatures below the freezing point of water.
