Abstract:
A system is disclosed for facilitating centralized management of human machine interface (HMI) components distributable across multiple nodes of the system. The system includes a centralized configuration storage for managing a set of HMI templates deployable to a set of remote nodes including HMI facilities. The deployed HMI instances are thereafter executed upon the remote nodes. An HMI application import utility receives HMI applications that are not in a form suitable for management in the centralized configuration storage facility. the import utility encapsulates the received HMI applications to render the HMI templates that are suitable for the centralized configuration storage facility.
Method And Apparatus For Replacing Electronic Components On A Printed Circuit Board
An apparatus and method for facilitating the installation and removal of standard surface mount clock oscillator modules. A clock oscillator module socket is disclosed which can be mounted on a printed circuit board in the standard recommended land pattern for surface mount clock modules which will provide for easy installation of the clock module and easy removal of the module either for maintenance or for general replacement by a clock of different speed.

Abstract:
Systems and methods for controlling industrial process automation and control systems can automatically, through the use of machine learning (ML) models and algorithms, extract plant assets from engineering diagrams and other plant engineering data sources. The systems and methods can establish asset relationships to create a plant asset registry and build an asset hierarchy from the plant assets. The systems and methods can generate an ontological knowledge base from the plant asset hierarchy, and provide an HMI for controlling the industrial process based on the plant asset hierarchy and the ontological knowledge base.

Abstract:
Configuring distributed control in an industrial system comprises building an asset model representative of a process control installation of the industrial system and creating an asset library of distributed control assets according to a distributed control programming standard. The asset model includes modeled assets defined according to levels of a physical model standard and representing physical devices of the industrial system. The distributed control assets each have one or more predefined, built-in facets. One of the distributed control assets in the asset library is mapped to each of the modeled assets to configure the process control installation of the industrial system and generate an asset-based control application for providing distributed control of the industrial system. Additional aspects relate to auto-creation of control applications based on an information model, either through the use of machine learning or an asset configurator tool.

Abstract:
A Graphic Performance Index (GPI) for increasing performance of graphics in a process control system graphical user interface (GUI). A GUI is built from GUI elements for use on a device. Determining an element load time for each GUI element based a hardware profile of the device permits calculating a total load time of all the element load times of the GUI elements. And the load time is mapped to a GPI scale. Based on the GPI, the GUI elements of the GUI are altered to improve the performance of the GUI.
