A magnetic filter removes magnetic particles from fluid communicated through the filter. The filter includes elongated, circumferentially spaced magnetic elements which capture magnetic particles entrained in the fluid. The magnetic elements must be cleaned periodically to remove the particles from the elements by moving a scraper plate from one end of the housing to the other. At the end of travel of the scraper plate, the particles are scraped upon non-magnetic end portions (which may contain residual magnetism) of the magnetic elements, from which they are flushed by fluid communicated through the inlet port out through other ports provided on the housing.
Method Of Forming An Impregnated Micro-Fiber Filtration Unit
A method of forming a blown micro-fiber filtration unit having multiple overlapping layers of fibrous material and an active material applied over said layers, The fibrous material layers being fused together.
This invention relates to a liquid filter having a housing and a top. The housing includes an inwardly protruding annular shoulder which supports a filter basket. Forming a part of the housing and located above the annular shoulder is a tapered protrusion over which a filter bag is press fitted and snapped under so as to be suggested against the underlying annular shoulder.
A pressure vessel includes a lid being rotatable into an unlocked position by a first actuator and then raised vertically above its housing by a second actuator secured along the housing. A pressure safety latch is provided to both vent the vessel before the Hd is moved into its unlocked position and release the lid for unlocking rotatable movement.
A method of removing a self-retaining filter bag from a filter housing by flexing the upper margin of the bag to free the bag from the housing and then withdrawing the bag from the housing.
